It’s becoming apparent over the last five or six games that the problem with the Lions goes deeper than just Rourke being rusty, injuries, or receivers losing their confidence. It comes down to coaching. Jason Tuckers/Ryan Phillips’ defensive backs are allowing too much space for opposing receivers to maneuver. Suitor called out four Lion defenders allowing a Redblack receiver a couple of yards to catch the ball while they seem to just stand there. Maksymic’s play calling has become so predictable that defenders are all over Lions’ receivers. It’s claustrophobic. I won’t even mention the inferior O-line. Perkins? Are you kidding me? And what about Hollins? There’s a story there and we’re not learning about it.

This all comes down to Campbell, whose laid-back demeanor is not working with this crew of coaches and players. Doman, for all his wonderful investment in making the Lions a more engaging enterprise, is going to have to make a move because nothing is happening, nothing is improving. It’s a team of uninspired complacency. Something is rotten in the state of BC Lions and something has to happen. Soon. With all the talent on this team, there is no excuse for playing this badly at this time of the season.

Hugely entertaining game, with a lot of big plays, both O and D. I’m super proud of the compete level and talent on the RBs this year. Games are so close, but they’re great at diggin’ deep.

Excellent games all-around, but esp by Brown, Hardy, Mauldin, Santos-Knox, Griffin and O-line in general, to name just a few. But hey, big, big shout-out to Nick Mardner on his TDs, esp that highlight reel first one. Wow!

As Homer Simpson is apt to exclaim, DOH! Amar S. Doman is exclaiming the same and slapping himself silly on his noggin on why he jumped the gun making Nathan Rourke the highest paid athlete in a low budget plumber league of football. In all seriousness, Nathan Rourke’s younger brother Kurtis is wayyy better at quarterback than Nathan. So if anyone in the CFL is listening it’s best to heed this statement and try to win the Kurtis Rourke draft sweepstakes even if you have to tank your season, you won’t be sorry if you get him and sign him.

Who would have thought it_🤔 Who would of thought that Samuel S. Jackson would make a great Head Coach🥴 in the CFL with the Ottawa REDBLACKS and he does it as a side hobby as he doesn’t need the money they pay him_😖. This 2024 season he has his REDBLACKS raining down wrath on all opponents who oppose them on the field of play, kool_😎.

Weak Sister East Division
Oh ya the 3rd place Argos would be in 1st place of the West

Another exciting game. Time to change the power rankings- Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto #’s 1, 2 and 3. A strong case for Ottawa moving to #1. Maybe soon. Hamilton #9 and the rest 4-8 in no particular order. All the western teams seem to be struggling now.

It looks like the fans in Victoria are going to be treated to a good game.

Stay off the drugs man, they are not working for you.

Excellent post. Best thing about the Lions is owner Doman. Campbell hangs on to veteran players too long (Lee, Evans). As Coach Phillips said they can’t tackle. The team is not physical enough and gets pushed around. This year is over, plan for next year.

I agree, this BOM clown is eating too many brownies

I take it the circus was in town and they left you behind-----Wonder why eh BOM?

Go Alouettes Go!

Well that explains it, Bom!

I would say it was more due to Dru Browns pin point passing, the guy is getting better each time he’s out there - 400 yards passing and 3 TDs, could easily be 5 TD passes.

It’s a logjam in the west, but with the talent on the Lions have I think their year is far from over.

Those who need to advice are the last ones to realize it… born is no exception.
That’s actually one of his nicer posts.
