Record Year for Sask, but still over cap

According to TSN, it was a record year for Saskatchewan. They posted a record profit of $1,737,377 in 2007 and exceeded the cap by less than 100,000 resulting in fines of $54,330.

Do they lose their 1st round CFL draft pick?

No because they were under the $100000 therefore no draft pick forfeiture.

They have an amazing organization and many great football minds in Regina. I think that they will continue to be the team to beat (or try) this season.

They do have a strong organization but doubt if even they can overcome the loss of their HC and their MVP QB this season.
