It is sad.
Unfortunately I stumbled upon the scene on a bike ride along the Watefront Trail yesterday. I guess just shortly before they actually recovered his body.
At the time had no idea it was Emery - but all kinds of people who were out for what they hoped would be a nice afternoon with their families and friends on a very hot day along Hamlton's waterfront - couldn't help but be so impacted by the tragic scene unfolding in front of us. Divers and police boats searching among the docks at the Leander and Hamilton Yacht Clubs.
Only 35 years old - such a shame.
