Ray Charambura Passing

Former Bomber and Winnipeg native Ray Charambura passed away last week. Played with the Bombers in 1950 and was most famous playing in the infamous Mud Bowl Grey CUp (spoiler alert: Bombers lost)
I thought he might have been the oldest living bomber up to his passing - until I remembered Harry Peter "Bud" Grant. Grant is still alive, he's 94, will be 95 next May.

I know Charambura will be an obscure entry in most current CFL fans mindset. But he played the game and had a very nice post-CFL career. Sometimes, obscurity brought to light brings good feelings and spurns other memories of loved ones lost.

Thanks for reading. Here's Ray's obituary -
