Hey there Ti-cats, I have a quick question for you.

I know this might sound silly and perhaps even ignorant - but I promise that it is an honest inquiry. Apart from being Rider, I can easily say the Ti-Cats are my second favourite team. I cheer for them in every game they are in, aside from ones with the Riders. I am also a bit of an Argonut.

ANYWAYS. The question: Where did Oskee Wee Wee Oskee Wah Wah come from? What does it mean?

I figured that if I am going to be a part-time fan I might as well know a bit more about the team.

This link ( Oski Yell - Wikipedia ) will tell you most of the story, but thats not the full story. This American college cheer was inspired by New Zealand Maori war chants. The Maori use what is called a Haka for pre-battle pump-up, like the NZ All Blacks use (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdMCAV6Yd0Y ); it really is intimidating.
