As reported on Sportsnet, Jason Maas is being considered for the quarterback coach for the Blew team. He would be Ricky Ray's boss!!
Wouldn’t the OC be Ray’s boss?
If the Argos braintrust think Jason Maas can help Ricky Ray
enough to be of any significance value more power to them.
It's more likely Jason will be little more than a man pal
to keep Ricky Ray from being too lonely in the big city.
It's too bad the Tiger Cats didn't pay for with a friend like that
to provide a shoulder for Jason Maas to cry on when he was here.
It would have saved him money on long distance calls to Danny Maciocia.
Well, Montreal feels that Marcus Brady can coach Anthony Calvillo. At least Maas knows Ray very well, having spent so many years watching him play.
We almost had three simultaneous teams with someone coaching the QB he once backed up - but chances are the Jones-Glenn tandem is no more.
What's the old expression? Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. etc.
. . . and those who can't teach, teach gym class.
or become administrators or guidance counsellors
Or become intolerant dolts who write hoary old stereotypical anti-teacher drivel.
Thanks a lot, Madjack.
Correction: Maas will be the receivers coach
The Toronto Argonauts named former CFL quarterback Jason Maas the team’s new receivers coach on Tuesday.http://sports.nationalpost.com/2011/12/ ... ers-coach/
Thanks not needed ron. . . I know you to have a suitably thick skin.. . as do I, can't count the number of lawyers' jokes I"ve had aimed at me. . . and I tell enough of those myself too. . .but hey,if you can't laugh at yourself. . .
Lets hope that Jason Maas isn't paid anywhere near the outlandish salary that elementary school teachers
in this area are paid, and with a great retirement fund to boot.
Actually, I find it ironic that a relatively unsuccessful quarterback like Maas would be coaching Ricky Ray.
Does anyone else see the humour in this move ?
He is the receivers coach.
Now I just agree when someone tells me that teachers have it easy
and ask them why they didn't chose teaching as a profession, Madjack.
They usually brush that question off but some people admit that
there are things about teaching they wouldn't want any part of.
I had never seen "those who can't teach, teach gym class" before, nor had I seen
..or become administrators or guidance counsellors which TeddyFay added
Maybe Yoda didn't miss his wife when he was here ... it sounds like he has a "man crush" on Ricky.
Hmm. So who is actually correct on this issue?
National Post or Perry Lefko?
TSN, Sporrtsnet and the Edmonton Journal are also reporting him as receivers coach
The Toronto Argonauts named Maas as their receivers coach Tuesdayhttp://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=383162

Maas will coach Argonaut receivers.http://www.edmontonjournal.com/sports/A ... drop_story
Who knows how rigid and defined such offensive coaching titles are. He may do more than just receivers of just QBs.
I'm also thinking that Milanovich, working all those years with Calvillo, may be more directly linked to coaching Ray as a QB coach as well, but who knows?
CHCH, Channel 11 News just made an announcement via Dan Welch saying that Maas would be
the Quarterback Coach for the Argo$, and so, I reiterate, "Who is Right?"
The A*gos website says receivers coach.
