I am sure glad they have finally decided to try to protect defenseless receivers as much as QBs. It has bothered me for over 2 decades the hits that receivers have taken when they do not have possession of the ball. Two thumbs up on the league on this one :thup: :thup:
One thing is though, I think they do not go quite far enough. I think tacklers should have to make sure the receiver actually has possession of the ball before hitting them. I think timing hits with just touching the ball should also be a penalty
