I honestly dont understand why they would do this
Finally someone gets the salary right… 380k… Not 450, not 500.
Well most dont deal in facts well around here
Considering the team didn't have to pay him a single penny until Game #1 of the season, for him to not even be brought into camp indicates the team decided they had absolutely no plans to keep him this year, regardless of how he could have performed in training camp.
I have no idea why they would do this either.
I suppose this opens the door for Glenn more then ever to come to the 'Cats.

Sure has been an interesting week to say the least :?

I think it shows that they want to move forward with Porter. I really think once Glenn is released you'll see us grab him for an experienced backup.
This is the best situation for everyone. Allow Casey to go to a team, cut the salary (which Obie didn't negotiate) and give Porter the confidence now that he's the starter.
Best thing so far this off season........
i like it, why is t.o interested in him? isnt that the problem they had at the beginning of last season (2 QB's that thought they should be the starter)
i hope toronto gets him, bring more drama over there, and considering the media voted him the biggest this and the biggest that, he's probably not a very well-liked guy in the locker room.
Wow. That was just put up on TSN at 8:55 p.m., although it is Vancouver radio station CKNW that seemed to first report it. Click here for the story on the CKNW site. It says there that the blue team “will likely be the first team to inquire, but the B-C Lions say they would also listen to Printers’ agent should he decide to call.”
Very interesting. It’ll be more interesting to see exactly what this will lead to. Stay tuned…
if true, this is just about as stupid as when we released calvillo all those years ago, and the alouettes picked him up for nothing, nada, zip, zero.
why release him when you could trade him; we should've waited for teams to go to camp, and the riders, argos, bombers get itchy (you wanna go to camp with what those teams have? i don't think so ...) and then they have to deal, big time, for the 2004 mvp.
foolish move ...
…the last word from Kelly… on Glenn ,is that the Bombers are willing to pay Kevin the 50 grand bonus he is due and hang on to him…Obie should have made a stronger play for him when he had the chance…As i see it…Mr. Glenn could be going…anywhere… at this moment in time…  things are getting very interesting…
It’s strange how if a rumour sticks around long enough, it magically becomes a fact.
That’s a good thing that this money untruth is out and is finally put to bed.
As far as Printer’s position on the Ticats? (which apparantly is nil now) I lost interest in that drama many moons ago.
Ok Printers is gone and out of the equation. We have no experienced qb, but why is 25 yr/old Richie Williams off everyone's radar? I don't get that one. Yes, irregular throwing motion, but I thought looked better than Printers many times last season.
How is it that a radio station in Vancouver broke this story?
Cutting Casey now can only mean that Obie is clearing cap space because he may have a big deal in the works to fill some of the gaps on this team. It will be an interesting couple of days
Bring him to Toronto for half of what he was supposed to make.
hamiltonelite may be on to something. It is surprising that Obie did not wait until after March 1st to see what the Bombers do with Kevin Glenn before he released Casey Printers. One media report a month or two ago indicated that Printers is not scheduled to receive any bonuses from the Ticats during the off-season so there was no time pressure on Obie to release Printers.
Well there are no major free agents out there that would command top dollar. Unless Obie has something in the works that could entice Guillory to forego any NFL aspirations.
I think they are simply doing the guy a favour by releasing him. Nearly everyone here is on the Porter wagon, and so is coach Marcel B., so he didn't have much of a chance. Atleast now he can take the time to find a job and situation that is good for him, instead of being released days before the season and rushing, taking any job he can get.
