I believe it will be 2,4 after the first six games.
Then we will win at least half of our remaining games.
The slow start is because Printers will look
"Ordinary".
He doesn't have an experienced O-line or receivers
like he had in BC., which allow him to run around and make adhoc plays when needed.
It will take at least six games for the O-line and
receivers to gel with the new co-ordinaters.
So don't go head hunting if we are 0,3 after three
games!!
Free agency hasn't even started and you're already talking about how bad they'll be. I'm sure Obie will pick up some key players either through free agency, trades or from scouting. After that, we'll see where we're at.

I hear ya, “Go”. We would be disillusioned to think that the Cats are going to get off to a roaring start this year, even if they do secure some of the better free agents.
I know that ExPat doesn’t like to hear the word, “GEL’” but thats exactly what has to happen before we get some positive results. IMHO. Sorry, Pat.
Like yourself, “Go,” I would look for more positive results as the season unfolds and coaches and players all get on the same page.
Any results better than this, I would consider a bonus, however, I am hopeful.

How can you expect 0-3 when we don't even know who we are playing the first three games or even where?

Nobody here said we "WILL" go 0-3. GOTC began this thread by suggesting that things may not fall into place right off the bat and ended this original post by saying, "Don't go head hunting "IF" we go o-3.
I completely agree with him, since we have a team and management that are relatively new and many of our newest personnel will be playing in a system they may not be familiar with.
Nothing would please me more than to see the TiCats get off to a 3-0 start, but I’m not allowing myself to get excited about that prospect in view of all the unknowns.
Way early!! Has a sked been released yet?
The pressure's on this season...I don't see us coming out of the gate slowly. Obviously, expectations have to be managed, but I don't see why we should be less than .500. I'm looking at a 2-2 record after 4.
As I mentioned before "I have my fingers
crossed that we can do better than 0,3
but look at the new staff, there still
trying to introduce themselves to
each other. Montreal has signed Cox,
Armour is still waiting for than offer,
I say this team is going to come out of
the gate SLOW.
Don't be surprised!!
i agree you shouldn't go head hunting if they start off 0-3 but if eric doesn't hire ritchie and he's sitting in pittsburgh 5 or 6 games in and the cats are 1-5 or 0-6, then what?
let's say obie makes a splash in the FA market, and fills some holes and the team looks significantly better come june, that should be enough to make chuck wish he left for the mountains of west virginia.
Taaffe will most likely be on a short leash in '08. Obie is experienced, and will be a very aggressive GM. He will probably pull the plug if he sees poor results by Labour Day (losing record, lots of penalties, lack of player effort). He wont wait for a hopeful rebound in the last nine games.
OTOH, if they come out of the gate strong in all these categories, Taaffe will redeem himself to the team and the fans.
