TORONTO — Week 6 was, to put it gently, unkind to the pick makers.
The Montreal Alouettes’ undefeated (and 300-day-long winning streak) came to an end at the hands of the unpicked Toronto Argonauts. The Edmonton Elks — rested, at home and favourites to down the Ottawa REDBLACKS — found a way to let victory dribble out of bounds and onto the foot of Lewis Ward, who sunk them to 0-5 with a walk-off field goal win.
Those guys in riderville figuring out things on behalf the saskatchewan roughriders ??? They now have another “OLD OVER PAID” Jamarcus Hardrick out long term this 2024 CFL season with injury to go along with their other “OLD OVER PAID” “always injured” quarterback Trevor Harris. Both “OLD PLAYERS” by the way are really raking in the big dollars for doing zilch since signing to play in riderville. But hey! that’s how the riders gm rolls - find “OLD PLAYERS AND OVER PAY” for “OLD PLAYER” services to sit on the sidelines doing absolutely nothing while raking in those large Benjamin $$$$$$$. By the way, Shea Patterson is not the answer as the rider qb moving forward along with the aforementioned “OLD MAN Harris”.
The Eskimos would win,
Elks losing wears thin.
On the road, Elks usually are bad,
A record of 6 losses are sad.
Eskimos are tough,
Elks not enough.
Fans admire the Eskimos resilience,
Fans are tired of Elks losing experience.
