Prediction Time: CFL.ca writers' Week 15 picks

TORONTO — With just a three-game offering in Week 15, you have to make your picks count if you’re playing CFL Pick ‘Em.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.cfl.ca/2024/09/10/prediction-time-cfl-ca-writers-week-15-picks-3

Prediction;

When all is said and done at the end of the current CFL Season, the West Division will finish as, BC Lions-1st, Winnipeg Blue Bombers- 2nd, Edmonton Elks- 3rd, Saskatchewan Roughriders- 4th, Calgary Stampeders- 5th.

The East Division, Montreal Alouettes- 1st, Ottawa REDBLACKS- 2nd, Toronto Argonauts-3rd, Hamilton Tiger Cats- 4th.

BC Lions vs Ottawa REDBLACKS Grey Cup game 2024.

It would be nice if the CFL would get serious and cancel out the East West Divisions and play under one Division where only the best of the best get to play in the playoffs.

Maaax, Maaax, Maaax😀Old Bighill has been injured or limping alongd for some time now. Wilson is missing??? He’s put in ONE full season back in 2019 & missed 40 games since. He’s not really “missing”. He’s exactly where he always is - on long term IR. The present LB lineup is pretty much the guys that may have to carry the load.

Stanley’s out, Neufeld’s been out.

Two sure things - you get older, performance decline is predictable. You get older, the injuries pile up. Life, life, life.:grinning:

An alternative or compromise:

In each division, only the top two teams determined by their wins would enter a three-game playoff final with the winner being the first to win two games. The winner of the best of three possible games then goes to the Cup. This three-game playoff would ensure that the best teams make it to the Cup and that the best teams in the division will provide entertaining football and reward the owners. Five teams and rightly so would be eliminated by their season record of any playoff game.

I propose we let the sun go down on that idea :slight_smile:

I might be the only person outside of Calgary rooting for Stamps this week!

Would I put money on it? Probably not, no. But I’m cheering for em! Argos need all the help we can get. Run up the score Stamps, and demoralize the Alsfor us!

Hopefully the Calgary Stampeders Football Club can get off their duff with a win this weekend and the weekend thereafter, making a charge to the playoffs while kicking the Roughriders into the West Division basement. It all starts this weekend against the Alouettes of Mon Re’al (Mon Re’al - CFL Legend Andre Proulx style pronunciation).

I there was a team I would not throw in the scrap heap for the season - Stamps would be it…
