Prediction Time: CFL.ca writers' Week 11 picks

TORONTO — Week after week, CFL.ca’s writers send their picks in with at least a sense of what they think might happen in a league that’s difficult to predict at the best of times.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.cfl.ca/2024/08/13/prediction-time-cfl-ca-writers-week-11-picks-3

Hopefully the stamps are thinking trade
VA for Joke Maier straight across :joy:

Stamps
Riders
Elks
Leos
are my predictions

A post was merged into an existing topic: Edmonton Elks Sale thread

REDBLACKS will beat the Stamps. Ottawa has a better defence and with Masoli returning and Jake Maier throwing interceptions Ottawa wins by 10.
BC over Winnipeg by 3 , with Nathan Rourke coming on in second half to secure the win.
Hamilton wins vs Edmonton by 6.
Rough Riders by 7 over Montreal.

Just hope that Masoli comes out and doesn’t pull anything. Looks like he is in good shape and gone through a lot of hard work in practice.
Ottawa gets Dandridge back and Addison.
I predict a return TD by Dedmon

Starting this week:
Cody Fajardo
Trevor Harris
Jeremiah Masoli
Nathan Rourke

Who are out:
MBT and BLM

Looks like a season starting. This is getting more and more interesting!!!

Mass had the secret element Alexander for the last SSK game in Montreal. Lets see how Mace is counter that? 2 RBs? 2 QBs or both? or something else?

Rourke is not 100% confirmed to start yet. Fajardo is absolutely not confirmed to start, though he may dress. I expect Alexander to get the start again.

I am glad for Nathan. Great try for the NFL, perhaps his style is better suited for the CFL; he’s got a nest egg for that. Welcome back.

Next week we should see Rourke starting in Ottawa
Kelly starting in Toronto against the Riders
Fajardo starting in Montreal against the Elks

Rourke is expected to start as per his head coach. I have seen Campbell quoted similarly in other articles.

Campbell said:

Campbell expects Rourke will start Sunday when the Lions host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place Stadium.

Montreal got two big controversial calls go in their favour in the Riders game
( Alford had both knees down yet the refs ruled a fumble …, and Al’s QB’s incomplete pass was strangely ruled a fumble as that benefitted the Als ). They
won’t get HOMER calls like that at Mosaic. Riders win the rematch.

Looks like the pros cheated giving themselves a win for the tie game last week.

I read what you wrote several times and cannot understand what you were trying to say. Please elucidate , decypher , make clear. Thanks.

At 3DownNation, everyone got a tie. #-#-1.
Its not technically a win if you chose someone and they tie.

Our own pick’em league pool on the CFL Forum has deemed it a tie and not a win.

Everyone’s pick’em record on this website got inflated by a win. Their records should vary from 1-2-1 to 3-0-1 based on their week 10 picks instead of 2-2 to 4-0.

OK bomberjunkie , thanks for the explanation. Reckon we will see you boys on
Labour day and then the Banjo Bowl. I can’t wish you good luck ( I’d be lying through my teeth ) but lets hope for no injuries to either team.

Likewise. LDC should be a lot more competitive without Nick Marshall letting everyone run by him.

Bro I literally say mtl will lose this week so idk why you going out here saying all of this.

To Alsnation , yeah you’re right , was bad form on my part. CFL referreeing drives
me ( and everyone nuts )… I have no beef with your Als. Wish somehow the
reffing in the good old CFL would magically improve…but it won’t.
How I loathe the no-yards calls. Ambrosie and his minions need to junk this
dopey call and replace it with something fairer…but they won’t.

Officiating being trash is like as much of a guarantee as death and taxes Tbf. My issues if officiating needs to be consistent. So if the refs want to call everything for that game than call fing everything if he doesn’t want to call it than don’t call anything. The refs need consistencies.
