Prediction Time: CFL.ca writers' Thanksgiving Weekend picks

TORONTO — Sometimes the schedule lines things up perfectly, whether it involves playoff implications or not.

Pretty sad when the only Thanksgiving Day game starts at 10 AM on the west coast. Thanks for nothing tsn/ctv.

Apparently O’leary hasn’t been paying attention.

What? You’re not satisfied with the TFL on CTV? (and by “on the west coast”, the league wanted to know what part of Barrie, ON you’ll be watching from this weekend Monty!)

“…where the Blue Bombers are trying to lock up the West Division for the fifth year in a row.”

Um, wrong. Lock up the West Division means finish first. You’ll recall they won two road games to make it to the Grey Cup in 2019, no season in 2020, they hosted the Western Final in '21, '22 & '23, meaning the Bombers finished first those last three and are are trying to lock up the West Division for the fourth year in a row.

Why am I doing your jobs for you, CFL.ca writers?

What’s wrong with starting at 10AM on Thanksgiving??
Sleep in, watch the game then have your Thanksgiving dinner in the afternoon.
Last Sunday morning the NFL had a game starting at 9:00 AM eastern time - that would be 6:00 AM West coast time, didn’t hear too many complaints.
I’m sure the Als fans appreciate an afternoon home game this time of year.

A true and loyal CFL fan does not give a “Damm” what time the game starts. :smirk: Try living in Asia where the game starts 11 hours later than EST-6am for night games :joy: or in the middle of the night for afternoon games. :exclamation: Your other option is move to Eastern Canada :bangbang: :canada: :football: :vietnam:

Other than being at Princess Auto Stadium for the Blue Bombers game, the Saskatchewan / BC game has to be the one for me to watch. Riders win this one and I can’t imagine the Lions faithful being very hopeful of their team coming out of the West with not one, but possibly two road games. Not an easy road if they have plans on playing at home, for the Grey Cup. Certainly some entertaining football to look forward to.

On the other hand i will give them the benefit of my two centuries of wisdom. By “lock up” they meant, hmm, sorry i have nothing. Was ready with an easy out but they cornered me with the Argo part.

Redblack’s Jeremiah. Massoli is terrible today v.s. Montreal! Massoli could not hit the broad side of a barn if it was 1 foot in front of him when throwing the football! WHERE’S he aiming when he’s ‘trying’ to throw the ball to a receiver?! Ottawa needs to use a different Q.B. & Massoli needs a LOT more practise throwing the football to the target! Use Dustin Crum again Coach!
