Riders with their 4th pick in round 1; I also agree/hope Ben D'Aguilar is the Roughriders choice. Duane Ford gave a good outlook on Ben; Doug Brown also gave a good write-up about D'Aguilar in the Winnipeg Free Press. D'Aguilar could be selected by Winnipeg too.

The Question with Ben D is can he play the DE position in the CFL. The Riders went with the Top Pick in Shamori Williams and moved him to MLB in his 3rd season and now let him go in Free Agency to Hamilton who will again give him a shot at DE.
Could it be that the Riders did not give him a the traditional standard of three seasons at a position and then upon the 4th season worked his way into a starters role. Only one Canadian DE in Ricky Foley has been able to have excelled at the DE spot and now the Riders have him onboard for a DE rotation where he will be focusing on playing situations to his strenght as a rush DE and appear to be planning to tab him with two imports in that rotation.
Do they think that D’Aguilar can evolve into Foley’s spot as a Rush DE as Foley begins to near 35 and keep the system in place using 2 Imports at DE and the 3rd part of the rotation a Canadian taking a spot on the NI roster.
There need now would seem to be a Canadian DT who can be part of a rotation with Canadian Sholo and import Alford and make one DT spot a ratio spot. I don’t know if Zack eveans has eveolved into that guy just yet
