Prechae Rodriguez

I guess DD and Pre Rod stayed back and met up a couple of times to throw routes and everything like that so I do think Rod has a good work ethic and heart we just have to use him more, if we can use him and get double coverage on him that leaves Bagg/Dressler/Fantuz/Getzlaf all open and vise versa.

Many Tiger-Cat fans were upset when they traded him to the Riders, thinking that the team let a good one get away. He was if I remember correctly runner up to rookie of the year behind Weston. He was the best receiver on a very poor Hamilton team when he first broke into the league.

Heart and work ethic are not the issue either. I just do not think it is necessary for the offence to focus on him with the other receivers that Durant has. Prechae does get a lot of double coverage so the opposition defences definitely respect him and that double coverage certainly helps the other receivers.

We need to remember that when he was in college, basketball was his sport and football was just a sideline for him. He is still learning the sport in my opinion. He has the height plus a lot of "raw" talent that the Ti-cats noticed and liked. Although the debate about Durant's arm is old and boring now, I do not think, that Durant has really made as much use of the wide outs as he does his slots.

As a couple of posters have said, we have a good one here. We as fans just need to be patient with him.

I don't know if this is a sign of what is to come but the Saskatoon Star Pheonix is reporting that they put Jordan Sisco on the 46 man roster now.

from Rod pederson’s blog and an interview with Miller after Saturday’s Practice:

Q. What's the story on WR Jordan Sisco, who was practicing today?

MILLER: We’re into a training camp scenario for him. He has to learn what we’re doing and we have to evaluate him. He has a ways to go before he’s elligible to get on the roster.

Q. Is there any danger of another team snatching him?

MILLER: No because he’s on our 46-man roster right now.
