Good day for practice. Slightly cool with a breeze. Smelt like fall.
-Bishop looks to be the guy again this week however Darian took 30% of 1st team reps. Wouldn't read much into. Bishop was firing bullets again today and it looks like he's on the same page with our receivers. His throw of the day come off of his 3rd or 4th read. Marshall was doing the basic streak and Bishop picked him up late. Marshall was already about 50 yards downfield and then Bishop flicked his wrist and the ball travelled 70 yards in the air without a problem. He did has his wind at his back, but whatever. The boy has a cannon.
-It looks like more and more that Nicholson might get some time with our O this week. He took 50% of the 1st team reps, while Childs and Palmer split the remaining. I used to like Palmer, but his time is up imo. Nicholson could be a nice surprise. He was being mentored by Andy Fantuz today. Andy seems to be walking fine, but so was DJ. DJ was there but only in shorts. Both guys are at least 3-4 weeks away.
-Dressler, Walker and Marshall are tight. They hang out with each other all the time and seem to always be talking with Lapo about routes.
-Steve Baggs is in the house and wearing #50. He and Kitwana hit it off and they look like brothers. Stevie sure has a motor and some real nice moves on our lineman. HOw he doesn't break his ankles everytime he runs is beyond me. The worst pigeon toe I've ever seen.
-Frazier, Lucas and Williams were all back practicing today. All look healthy and they all took 1st team reps.
-I've said it before but I'll say it again, James Patrick will be dynamite when he gets his chance.
-Bishop beat Durant in a field goal competition today. Bishop nailed a 35 yarder for the win.
-Seante Williams tweaked his right leg but it didn't look serious.
-Boreham did minimal kicking today.
-Belton Johnson was walking around with his walking cast today. Big boy.
-Walker and Johnson took most of the kickoff return reps today. Dressler on punts.
Pretty straight forward practice today. Running the gameplan for this week against BC and keeping the boys in line.
