Only four QB's were present today. Can you guess who's missing??
-Jyles looked good today. He seems to have a good grasp of the O and the receivers are responding to him in a positive way. Seems to me Lapo wants Jyles to go through two reads and if nothing is open, dump it off to Cates/Hughes/Szarka.
-Somewhat similar play calling as was present last week with a couple of wrinkles, but expect the same "ball control" type offence.
-Cates is ready to roll.
-Our starting receivers look like they'll be Bagg and Matty D on the outside, with Dressler, Fantuz and Getzlaf in the middle. Grant came in as the 6th receiver if Cates/Hughes came off. I love this lineup. If we had one guy with top notch speed on the outside, I would say it would create fireworks.
-Flick is not improving. Imo, he has not improved for 3 weeks and I jsut about swear he's regressed. It sucks, but maybe he'll be ready for the playoffs.
-McKoy was actually wearing a jersey today instead of his regular sweater. Must be getting closer. I want to see this guy in action.
-Oline is looking like this.
Best/Parenteau LG (split reps)
Mean Gene C
Belton Johnson RT
-I forgot how big Belton was. He's ready for war by the looks of things.
-Good news on the Dline situation. John Chick took all 1st team reps today and I fully expect him to start this week. Kitwana was on the otherside, while Schultz and Adams plug up the middle. SS and MA really need to have big games this week. They've struggled all year and now they need to make up for it.
-Anton MacKenzie has his job back. He's back beside Mo and ready to go. He shows no lingering effect from his shoulder injury, but then again he never hit anybody. After the first couple of plays we'll know if he's 100%. I have a man crush on Rey Williams. The guy just seems to be having the best time of his life and is always talking smack to Anton, Mo and Kitwana. Ya gotta love this group of characters.
-Omarr seemed to injury his left ankle. He was covering Michael Palmer and MP gave him the out and up. While Morgan went to turn, it seemed that he caught a cleat in the turf. He seemed OK, but it's something to watch out for.
-James Johnson is having major wrist problems. He had to get his hand/wrist wrapped on 3 different occassions.
-Kornegay looks to be starting at CB again this week and if he plays like he did last week, I have no worries about it.
