No, I simply have no tolerance for trashy Rider fans. The only fans in the CFL that I have no respect for. The team is decent, but not it’s supporters. I simply can’t respect grown men that wear melons on their head, along with all the trolling they do. Then they have the nerve to call other people trolls.
Tough to really get a good feel for the teams after maybe 3 quarters of football with their starters in, but i'll give it a shot.
Calgary
Edmonton
Hamilton
Sask
Montreal
BC
Winnipeg
Toronto
Ottawa
Just a guess. I would think Ottawa should be much improved, they've made some nice signings and trades to bolster the O. Argos might be in tough til Ray gets back.
If we went by the pre-season to make predictions then last year would have been totally different. I seem to remember Ottawa with plenty of offense and winning their pre-season game last year and the prediction that they would win at least 7 games. Pre-season means squat.
Mtl has Caitlyn Jenner for a QB, Ottawa wins, Hamilton will get destroyed by Cgy, because Ham never beats Cgy early in the season, esks win, because who cares about Toronto, even Toronto doesn't care, and Saskabush will win , because they have nothing better to do in Sask except watch football and salute Gainer the rodent.
I don’t see how anyone was “trashing up the thread”, 10 or 11 wins usually gets the East comfortably, while the rest are sub-.500…just the way things have been.
Anyway. Completely meaningless Week 1 Power Rankings:
Stamps - easy pick here, defending champs and all.
Riders - they went blow for blow with the Stamps until Durant went down last year. Fixed the QB issue in the off-season.
Edmonton - If Reilly is healthy, he can make a run at MOP this year.
Ti-Cats - Should dominate the East but struggle v. the West.
Montreal - Crompton with some experience now, should be able to win a couple on his own.
BC
Argos
Bombers - 6, 7, 8 are really interchangeable at this point.
RedBlacks - they need to come up with a post-Henry plan quick, 'cause he aint got much left in his tank.
I think the west will be close all season. I don't think Calgary will win 14 again this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see them split the series with both Edmonton and Saskatchewan. If Lulay stays healthy in BC, they could be a surprise this season. Winnipeg could go either way as well.
