It's week 1 and my power rankings are as follows:
1 - BC, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan,
Winnipeg, Montreal, Hamilton, Toronto,
2 - 8 - We'll see as the season goes on
Way to early to rank the teams

I was only commenting on how I thought they worked, not on the reasoning behind how they could possibly rank the teams before the season even begins. It does seem quite ridiculous to have a ranking before the season even starts, but if you agree with how I said they work, then you have to have a place to start from. Putting everyone at the same ranking to start the season won’t work because it would take you until week 7 or 8 before you could order everyone. Which is why power rankings are nothing more than a conversation piece.
tsns are a little messed up, in that the als are ranked ahead of the eskies and argos....the als put up 1 point offensively...they should be ranked last.
jim lang's looks more accurate to me:

I would have moved them to last myself as well. BC,Calgary or Saskatchewan could have been first in my opinion but after one game this is what happens.
