Lots of other movie talk here right now so I'll throw out this question: what are some popular or critically acclaimed movies that you just don't like?

Ones that come to mind for me:
Godfather part 1 and 2 (I don't like 3 but I don't think anyone else does either)
Scarface
Casino
Raging Bull

Pet Detective comes to mind. dudes seem to love that movie but it’s revolting, offensive and not funny.

Stole all the Oscars that year from Pulp Fiction and Shawshank, which were both much more deserving and much less stupid.

seriously Forrest Gump was just so overrated to me. i actually find Tom Hanks to be an overrated actor.

I agree with almost all of those. I didn’t mind Something…..Mary and a couple of hero flics.

oh i love most Marvel movies. esp the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Actually, I liked the first Ironman, and the first Wonderwoman with Gal Gadot. The rest... meh.
And as for the Mary movie... anything with either Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller is a very difficult sell for me.

It's a Wonderful Life is my mom's favourite Christmas movie and one of the few I like.

I think my grandparents gave me Happy Gilmore when I was learning to play golf.

About the only superhero movies I really like is The Dark Knight trilogy.

Nick Nolte depresses me, but I have no idea why.

I forgot about the first Iron Man. The trouble with those movies is some (not all) of them can be great in theatres and terrible at home, regardless of how big your TV is or how good your sound system is.

In the had no interest category, I never saw or wanted to see Jaws, Godfather, Shining, Tootsie, or Lord of the Rings. I know there are others that dont come to mind right now

I went through a phase of watching classic movies. I could get only about an hour into Gone With the Wind before I just couldn’t take it anymore.
Same thing with Citizen Kane.

As far as more recent movies, I remember my buddy and I thought Meet the Parents was stupid, yet everyone else thought it was comedy gold.
