over on canoe.ca, they want to know who will win!

Question is:

Will the Roughriders avenge last years Grey Cup folly?

options are:

YES! its payback time!
NO! the Alouettes are Unstoppable
Whatever, i'll be watching the NFL instead

Currently, 56% say the riders win
34% say the Als repeat
and only 10% care about the NFL

go have your say:

Are they still doing that lame "I'll be watching the NFL" choice like they usually do? Oh well, any way to sell a newspaper or get a intenrnet hit.

I want the Riders to win......but I think the Als will win. I think the X-Factor could be the weather. The Als aren't used to playing in the cold.

After a blowout win over the Toronto Argos in Sunday's East Division final, the Montreal Alouettes will be hefty favourites to defend their Grey Cup championship Sunday in Edmonton.

The Alouettes, have opened as the seven-point choice over Saskatchewan, the team they defeated in a thrilling finish last year. The Roughriders upset the favoured Stampeders in the West final to set up their shot at revenge.

Montreal defeated Saskatchewan 28-27 in last year's Grey Cup but failed to cover as 9 1/2-point favourites.

The over-under total for this year’s game, which will be played outdoors in potentially frigid conditions, is 54 1/2.

In their first meeting of the season, the Als and Roughriders were involved in a shootout with Saskatchewan claiming a 54-51 win in Week 1. The Als won the second meeting in Week 6 by a 30-26 count.

Will be interesting. Als should dominate but these Riders are doing it a bit different this year and well, who knows to be honest. Als better have their A game, that's all I"m saying.

Im going to say the als because the avatar demands it but I do genuinely think the als could repeat. If any team could do it a Trestman coached team can.

The poll I put little to no weight on though. The riders are the default winner of any poll they are entered in to that any poll with them in it becomes somewhat of a joke

The heart says Saskatchewan but the head says Montreal....34 to 26

Man, Saskie fans are out in full force. TSN.ca is going who will win, and 75% of the 6200 voters are saying Sask.

The Riders no doubt about it :rockin:

Saskatchewan is not the team they were a year ago. much weaker on d-line and injuries will lead to a montreal easy win.
Als in a romp!!!

Bear in mind that if forced to choose most of those voters would also choose riders season tickets over their first born, air and water

Ya so? Small price to pay really.

I see Riders for sure covering the spread, and winning it outright with a good balanced offensive attack, some timely runs by Cates and Durant, and some long bombs to Fantuz and the boys. I really do think the Riders Defence can keep the Als in check.

Are you not the same guy who said the Stamps would kill the Riders?
I dont think Montreal is the same team they were last year either.. Go Rider!!
(on a side note, thank goodness the Grey Cup is not being held today.. baby, its cold outside!!)

I'm saying the 'riders. The Als have a habit of NOT blowing teams out in the final, so it's gonna be close with the 'riders winning by 3.
