Paul LaPolice was thought to be interested in the hi-paying and tenured head coaching position with the Univ. of Manitoba Bison.
Appears no more. I was somewhat surprised as Lapolice has a history as a financial opportunist - and this would be a PLUM for PLOP.
Here’s the Free Press Winnipeg article that outlines the Final 4 in contention for the job:

The competition to replace Brian Dobie as head coach of the University of Manitoba football team has reached the final interview stages.
Four finalists have emerged and three of those have close connections to the program.
Included in that group are current Bisons defensive co-ordinator Stan Pierre, U of M quarterbacks coach Cory Waldbauer and Tec Voc Hornets head coach Ryan Karhut, who was an offensive lineman on Manitoba’s 2007 national championship squad before serving as an assistant coach.
Karhut recently led Tec Voc to the Winnipeg High School Football League’s Currie Bowl AAA title, beating the John Taylor Pipers 24-11 in the championship game.
The fourth finalist is an intriguing possibility for the U of M: UBC Thunderbirds offensive co-ordinator Stevenson Bone.
Bone, whose father Jamie captured the Hec Crighton Award in 1978 as quarterback of the Western Mustangs, was hired as UBC’s offensive co-ordinator and quarterbacks coach in July of 2022.
He came to the Thunderbirds from the University of Guelph where he was the manager of football operations in addition to being the quarterbacks and running backs coach from 2019-21.
Dobie, 72, is retiring next month after 129 years on the job.
