Corey Mace made the right decision keeping Patterson over Fine. The kid is looking very good
Agreed
Yes he did.
I wish he had a bit more time to go through his reads.
That’s where perennial all star Jermarcus Hardrick’s absence is felt the hardest. I hope he comes back soon from his leg injury. Our often beat up CFL quarterbacks need more, not fewer linemen like him.
It may be wishful thinking, but I expect Patterson will get faster with his reads as he gets more live game experience.
I don’t think your thoughts are wishful. I think he will continue to get better .
I think this is the best thing that can happen to the team at this point, Patterson will get valuable playing time, which could help a lot as teams begin to improve all around, , they just need to keep working on the oline now that Jamarcus got injured, that will be key.
when is Harris scheduled to return? I thought it was in the next two weeks/
Dolegala got valuable playing time last year and we have seen what happened to him but I digress…best to move on.
“Patterson is looking very good.” - Could be the next big CFL meme if you guys handle it right. Remember those Grecian hair dye hockey commercials?
“Hey Maurice, two minutes for looking so good!”
He looks good. Well coached at Michigan. He will be the future
There is no doubt that Jermarcus’ absence is being felt. But the flip side is that his replacement, Brammer, did an outstanding job for his first outing.
Unless he comes off the 6 game injury list before the end of his 6 games on injured list, Trevor Harris will return on Friday, August 16, 2024 against the Alouettes. Still 3 more games on injured list.
Richard
There is no way that he will be out that long. The mid-level MCL tear is a 4-6 WEEK (NOT game) injury. And, it is now more than 4 weeks since June 23. And, it appears that his injury is healing quickly. So expect him back the week after next week’s MTL game. That would be a full 6 weeks. The 6-game injury is listed as such just to protect salary cap if his injury does not respond as expected, but he can be yanked off that list at any time…which, of course, would not save any salary cap.
So, who is this Patterson guy anyhow?
Never heard of him, and don’t know his history.
A flash in the pan, or the real deal?
I am beginning to think the real deal, has a ways to go, but he doing it all the right way. The more he plays, the game will slow down for him. He may be our next QB. Time will tell!!
He played at Ole miss and Michigan. At Ole Miss he was behind Chad Kelly and at Michigan was second for yardage in his senior year. He has the pedigree.
I liked Dolegala BUT he was not getting the results that showed he was “The Next One”. Patterson is showing that he might be the Harris successor.
To be fair Dolegala did not have the coaching, OC or O-line protection that Patterson has.
I agree with everything you have said. He moved on because Rick Campbell with the Lions saw more in him than Mace did and right now the Lions are ahead of the Riders. nuff said.
he was also in the USFL Michigan Panthers. He didn’t fair well in that league but he didn’t have a very good offensive line either.
