I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I have never been interested in these games. However, there is something I am wondering about. It seems to me that there is possibility for an unfair inequality in some spots. I am thinking skiing and snowboarding. I believe there are competitors whose only handicap is one of their arms. I think this would give them advantage?

I think the Paralympics is more about participation to a larger degree than being on the podium like the Olympic games, and Special Olympics is all about participation, as are the Invictus games. I don't think the athletes are thinking about who has the advantage, they just want to participate and compete.
