tigerdirt, a rookie does not have to be healthy in order for him to be released-only vets. that being said, if they saw something they liked in him, they may send him home and promise him a shot somewhere down the road when he's healthy, this happens alot. a vet, you're right, you're stuck with him for a bit.

Well, they stated that they were going to cut either Oliphant or Londot as they only needed one to backup Goodspeed. Nobody expected it this early, but I'd definitely say the injury had something to do with it. Another DL couldn't hurt, the more competition, the better the talent we produce.
