My feeling is that Londot was TOO injured to continue. Why waste a training camp roster spot on an injured rookie that you don't have to pay? Sounds harsh, but that is pro sports.
As for O'Bie's comment, they don't want to cut HEALTHY players before the end of camp...
But he has to be healthy in order for him to cut him. If he is injured, you can't cut him. I am just saying this. That's all. If the guy is injury prone or no good, get rid of him. Just don't say no one will be cut and then cut someone.
They need guys that can participate in camp. There are a few wounded but they all are minor enough that they will be playing again before camp is over. Other then Quinnie of course.. but he is a Vet though and the team has to keep him at least until he is healthy again.
Londot is a rookie. The team has no legal obligation to him if he is hurt. You can be sure the Cats will keep his rights though and maybe call on him again in the future once he is healed if they need him.

Yes but he is not a rookie. Adam Trafalis was also at the rookie camp. You can bring vets to rookie camp if they were in 6 or less games the year before or have been out of the league for more than a season like Quinnie who was last in Hamilton back in 06.
8) You just beat me to that answer MP. You are exactly right, Marcel would have the first and final say in any players that are released from the team !!!
At least we would hope that's the way things are being run. The proper way !!! <!-- s:wink: --><!-- s:wink: -->
