Karma’s just waiting to take a bite out of the Riders this year.

Losing our # 2,3,4 from last year leaves us with the worst QB depth in recent memory…So, instead of bringing in a journeyman for #2 , to compete for the toughest job in pro sports, we have…

the egomaniacl Berry, who’s still obsessing about his golden boy Dinwiddie, a never been, who’s now odds on favorite for backup.

Doesn’t take much, twist an ankle, hand to the helmet of a hogie, or another cheap shot spear by a Stampeder linebacker, and we’ve gone from first to worst…

I hope it does not have to happen for the QB Durant to be sidelined due to injury for the good of his general health and the better play in the entire league, but otherwise you are another Rider talking some sense here. :thup:

He had fewer yards, a worse completion percentage, and far, far more picks. Not sure how he had a better season.

Durant had a better completion % than Burris. He also had more TDs than both Ray and Burris and most importantly he had more W’s than either. But I think we both know that the all-star QB is choosen on more than just stats. Durant beats both of them in intangibles and he pulled off some outstanding plays that kept the Saskatchewan team alive in games. I guess the ppull who voted looked at the big picture and decided what they did based on that. :cowboy:

In the CFL all things considered it’s Calvillo, then Ray, then Burris, then a massive step back for Durant with all the interceptions he threw last year at 21 relative to 24 touchdowns.

Did you even bother to take the stats of all of the above into consideration or are you just good at homering your Riders?

For a guy who just started watching CFL you sure seem to think you know a lot about it. I’m not saying your opinion is invalid, I’m just saying it’s not as simple as looking at stats and then spouting off that you know everything.

After watching pretty much every game last year (not just riders, all teams) There was only one QB I would have rather had, and that was Calvillo. Which is probably why he won the MOP and Durant didn’t.

Plus the smokey air coment is unneccesary. You seem to think that everyone who has a differing opinion than you is high. Get over it.

Well okay then you have me there and good points, and I’ll just watch more this season and then we’ll know for sure with regard to quarterback rankings.

And no I don’t think of course everyone differing in opinion with me is high, as read again I stated SOME ELEMENTS for that reason so people would not misunderstand and in a facetious manner that perhaps did not come across well merely on a computer screen.

Apparently YOU for whatever reason put the word EVERYONE in my words and such is far more disingenuous than you seem to be implying about my comment.

Whilst okay the comment might not have been necessary I’ll agree, and no need to fuel those fires in the future duly noted, in fact the truth is that it happens to be true for SOME folks with some regional tendencies. Again that’s not EVERYBODY and don’t put false words in what I state here, and I see no reason to get into more specifics in that regard as we have seen in the Off Topics section before because we have to agree to disagree without making further destructive commentary.

Any other issues with this let’s take it up offline to clear anything up Billy, but you mischaracterised what I state not only on this thread but in general with your comment above.
