This seems to be some mind games being played by the redblacks!
I have not seen their Depth Chart even being released and it should have been released 24 hours ahead of game time.
For chrissakeās, Maybe they should throw rose petals down when he gets to the field so he could walk on them to cushion the pressure on his knee.
All the teams in the CFL that have struggled for years to have a descent team and make it to the playoffs and in walks Ottawa in their second year in the league playing for the top spot. The great CFL made sure we all gave them three good players to make them good from the get go, if we don't bet them out I'll need a long rest from the CFL.... RedBlacks my A@#$ :x
Well we KNOW that our D wonāt be pussyfooting around him should he āchooseā to play! Heāll be wishing that he could run like mad when they come after him!
As for the mind games - I was thinking that too earlier in the week. Campbell seemed to be pretty coy about Hank playing - but then heās used to Hank being ready for EVERY game!
Actually only about half of the players taken in the expansion draft are still with the team. The rest of the team has been assembled through free agency signings and the Canadian draft.
The other thing that has helped Ottawa be so successful this season is that they have remained relatively (as compared to a few other CFL teams especially) injury free. Virtually no injuries on offense that Iām aware of aside from their RB and not too many on defense. Being able to field a consistent lineup from week to week helps players to develop trust and chemistry with their team mates which can certainly help them be more successful. Who knows how well they would have done if they had had a large number of significant injuries and had their talent depth tested.
Up until now, Ottawa has been one of only two teams in the league that has not had its starting QB miss any games due to injury. That is one reason they have had as much success as they have had. But I understand that they had the cap space to make the big FA signings in the off-season, and that has helped. They have had some good luck, but they shouldnāt be taken lightly.
Something that I find interesting about them is that despite their 10-6 record, they have given up more points than they were about to get for themselves. And that 6-10 Montreal team has scored more points than they surrendered this year. Those who are interested in things like advanced stats and āPythagorean winsā must find that interesting.
I think our defence and special teams will make the big difference in this one.
The Ottawa offence needs to make up for a lot of short falls...with a hurt Hank, it will be tough for him tomorrow.
Let' hope he doesn't bite us with Good Hank showing up and throwing for 500 as he can!
Lets grab a big win today in Hamilton at Tim Horton's Field in front of another sold out stadium. WE have the ingredients for success this season now lets cap that off with another win, win big and finish out the season on a high with back to back wins against Ottawa!
This is a great team, great ownership and great fans, let's all be Loud & Proud of our Tiger-Cats!!
With under 6 hrs. to game time, I still canāt find a RB depth chart on their site or anywhere else. As has been the case the past couple of games, for some reason, the TiCats were very late posting theirs for this game, too. They tweet it out on time, but neglect to make it available under āDepth Chartsā where itās combined with an up-to-date complete roster, handy for two-sided printing.
Will they wear their Signature unis one more time? It wouldn't be a bad idea. They've never lost in them and, when last worn, the margin of victory was 30 points. A repeat of that score would be just ideal for the opener of a two-game total-point series.
Lucky fans get to listen to Matty and Gord doing the telecast(sarcasm intended). Luckily I'll be at the game just listening to my thought(singular noun intended).
Pat Lynch(the old guy who doesn't want to see another Pat Stoqua catch against our boys)
I wish we were facing that line-up today ā no Williams, Sinopoli, Jackson or Lavoie among their receivers.
Attention Coach Reinebold: An interesting note in the Ottawa newspaper this morning, from a reporter who regularly observes RB practices ā āIt wouldnāt be surprising if Ottawa punter Ronnie Pfeffer rolled out, away from where Banks is lined up, and booted the ball toward the sideline.ā If thatās their plan, weāll just have to block punts for TDs instead of returning them for scores.
