Ok today is the that that Nathan Rourke wins and gets a massive performance like drops 4 td and 400 yards in the air. He looked like he was in game shape now.
sitting in my backyard 4 hrs before game time. it’s about 30C° pretty hot but beautiful day with no clouds. probably an ocean breeze down at the old athletic park area but it will be hot for the players. i live a 20 min drive west of there.
With how quick this game in Victoria sold out for 14,000 it got me thinking why not for another cfl team out there. Would be perfect for LaboUr Day. If Halifax ever gets their act together (which will be never) Halifax and Vancouver are just too far away from each other for a rivalry. So Im on the Victoria bandwagon for the CFL in Victoria. Some people say their all retirees out there, well thats perfect for CFL fans if one can believe the doubters. BC Lions against the BC Orca would be a grudge match made in Heaven. Than Ed vs Cal, Winn vs Sask, Tor vs Ham and Ott vs Mon would all be grudge matches. I believe Victoria has a better chance of that happening than the cheap skates in Halifax.
Made the trip over from Vancouver, tons of Lions fans and a few REDBLACKS in town. Happened to see Alex Hollis, Justin McInnis and Terry Williams at dinner… Jeremiah Masoli was out walking around as well.
…and it could be right back to log jam by the end of next weekend after they play again.
But yes, everyone in the west except BC plays a bunch of 4 point games in the west division from here on out.
I forgot to ask my wife before she left for the Island. How did seat assigning work for season ticket holders? What if every season ticket holder wanted to go to the game. Certainly there are more that 14000.
Carl Meyer is punting tonight for the Lions instead of Stefan Flintoft. Wonder if their usual global player got hurt and they needed to make the change.
It isn’t all good news along the defensive line, however, as Global defensive tackle Tibo Debaillie (lower back) has been placed on the six-game injured list. Canadian defensive end Josh Archibald (shoulder), who is second on the team with four sacks this year, also won’t be available after going on the one-game injured list.
