Say the Bombers beat BC in the season series and take the crossover spot.
We've got Sask.'s number due to having half their coaching staff; beating them wouldn't be such a big surprise.
But Calgary?!?
I know we played them tough in Calgary the first time and play them again the last game of the season when it won't matter (to them anyways).
Dare to dream; could we pull off an upset on the West Final? That would be justice (remember, an 8-10 Stamps team beat us in the Grey Cup).
If so, would we be favourites against Eastern teams we underachieved against (but don't respect) in the Grey Cup?
I think we would be. Montreal's afraid of us; Glenn has a beatdown coming & TO couldn't score in a cathouse:)
TRIVIA QUESTION: Besides the Als and Stamps, which team(s) have scored more points than they have allowed?
The answer might surprise you:)
All kidding aside, the Bombers will not be a pushover in the playoffs. Whether they go East or West, home team better have there A game that day. Bombers are dangerous when clicking and so - so when off, like most teams. Can't see B.C. or Edmonton outlasting the Bombers in last 1/4 of the season. Toronto may even be catchable.
It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I see non Bomber fans posting on our forum. Please continue to knock down any positive thoughts we might have of our team. After all, it must make YOU feel better. We also realize that your teams never have controversy, rookies or injuries. Thank you.
Good posts, Bomberbraw and Blueface-answer is Sask. BC tied. We're 3 points behind.
I asked a football question. I've seen two Bomber teams. The one that while hot and cold plays some real good games at home and the other is the worst road team in the CFL. So if the Bombers are going to squeeze in the playoff in either division they will have to win on the road. I don't see anything that this is likely even less so an affirmation that an opponent should be affraid of the winless Bombers coming to town. I think most teams would be quite happy to face the Bombers in their own stadium.
That would only apply if the games were played in a vacuum where nothing ever changed. The Bombers could have 3 new faces in the line up since their last road game, even just one change could be all that is needed. I guess that's why they play the games, because nothing is guaranteed to be the same as it was the week before.
We're not going to lose on the road forever. If there's anyplace to start winning, it's BC; they've been lousy at home this year. Plus IIRC neither of their quarterbacks was over 50% completions this week. It's there for the taking.
If they start winning road games everthing changes for sure.
I read about Hefney, who are the other two guys? Pigseye ?
Dan, I was not taking a dig, I enjoy watching the Bombers this year. Jyles is a lot of fun to watch and I can see some serious Jyles/Durant wars in the coming years., the defense is tough and the receivers are coming along. I've watched Palardy kick since he was a young kid and glad to see Lapolice is giving a good kid a real chance as opposed to Bellefeuille.
The combination of Hefney, TJ Harris and Carr have not played together yet this season, BC could be a first. Considering how close the losses have been a 'tweak' could be all that is required.
I would like to point out a few things: All negative people need to get on board, except other teams fans, only reason they are negative is because they know we truly have a good team and they are scared!!
T.O is not a good team and now Lemon has a concussion and they have a tough schedule, honestly i don't see T.O winning another game this season. Toronto scored a whopping 6 points against the Esks and have not scored more than 17 points in 5 games now ---- so honestly i won't rule out T.O going 0-6 down the stretch.
WE AN BEAT OUT BC FOR A CROSSOVER
WE CAN BEAT OUT T.O FOR THIRD
Bomber remaining games --- BC-BC- MTL-Tor-EDM-CGY
Toronto remaining games --- Sask-Sask-Ham-WPG-MTL-MTL
BC remining games --- Wpg-Wpg-Edm-Cgy-Sask-Ham
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. (This is all providing T.O and BC don't have a tie in the final 6 games)
THIS IS COMPLICATED BUT I'LL TRY ANYWAY'S ... LOL ... :?
If BC goes 0-6 --- we need to go 2-4 or 1-4-1
If BC goes 1-5 --- we need to go 3-3 or 2-3-1
If BC goes 2-4 --- we need to go 4-2 or 3-2-1
If BC goes 3-3 --- we need to go 5-1 or 4-1-1
If BC goes 4-2 --- we need to go 6-0 or 5-0-1
NO MATTER OUR RECORD DOWN THE STRETCH IF BC GOES 6-0 OR 5-1 DOWN THE STRETCH WE CANNOT CROSSOVER AS THEY ALREADY STILL HAVE 2 PTS ON US AND WE HAVE TO BEAT THEM OUTRIGHT.
The back to Back against BC is ARE MUST WINS
NOW FOR US TO BEAT OUT T.O for THIRD PLACE ---- catching Ham is a mathematical possibility but unlikely as we need them to beat BC, Tor and Edm TWICE, so i hate to say this but help us out Cats -- Go Ti-Cats (ouch that hurt  )
For us to beat out T.O this is what we need: (we are 6 PTS behind and cannot tie them in the standings, we need to finish better)
If T.O goes 0-6 ---- we need to go 4-2 or 3-2-1 down the stretch
If T.O goes 1-5 ---- we need to go 5-1 or 4-1-1 down the stretch
If T.O goes 2-4 ---- we need to go 6-0 or 5-0-1 down the stretch
If T.O goes 3-3 or better ---- We cannot catch them
.....Who are the other two guys  Guess you don't follow us that close to make valid comments..TJ Harris is returning and the new kid Carr, who burned you real good in your last game, will also be in the line-up...The offences in the league are now going to get re-aquainted with Mr. Hefney as well :rockin:
