I do not believe in the idea there is one true “soulmate” out there for each of us.
Think about how cruel a world it would be if that was the case? Your soulmate could be living in South Island, New Zealand just waiting for you to take that 23-hour flight from Edmonton to get there.
BC - absolutely. they still need help there. The Argos, rumours say, are probably not resigning him.
Cal - McInnis is close to re-signing in BC. Chances slim there. Go after Eugene. He’s going to market apparently.
Edm - Lots of rumours he goes there if not to the NFL. Wouldn’t surprise me but I wouldn’t rule out a return to Bombers either.
Ham - I’ve heard Ottawa is leery about re-signing him because of his injury. A move to TiTown wouldn’t surprise me.
Mtl - Eugene going back?? Sure.
Ott - Signed Stanback so why take on the older Carey??
SK - Beard is a dream scenario. Highest PFF ranking @ Ctr. Can’t see Cats letting him get away.
Tor - McManus leaving would be a shocker.
Wpg - See above. Argos have been clearing CAP space on their trades. Can’t see letting Ceresna walk. An area, though, that Bombers desperately need to address so may have to overpay to get a quality DT.
Eugene Lewis was highest paid Receiver in the CFL in 2024 and it appears Edmonton is having some problems re-signing him at a bit lower wage. I doubt Calgary nor Montreal want to OVER PAY a receiver given their CAPs. Toronto always seems to have plenty of CAP space and Winnipeg do not seem bothered but sticking under their CAP for their roster. Both have exceeded the Cap multiple times recently.
I want to understand Matt Cauz’s process before writing this stuff. Matt, does involve a dartboard, coloured sharpened sticks, a candle, some chicken bones and dice?
I have heard of silly wild-ass guessing (SWAG), but Dude you cornered the market on it!
I will not tag any specific player the Riders should zero in on. However I agree focusing on the O line would be a good place to start. Beyond that, the D line. Control the line of scrimmage, impose your will. Go Riders!
Never pay for what someone did, only pay for what they can do in future.
Convinced EE’s Ed Hervey could take a shot at Ti-Cat FA Klondre Smith, Guelph 6’1" 180 4.69/40 SB-R and shift Zach Mathis North Dakota State 6’7 203 4.63/40 to WR-X.
