One good player from your team who flies under the radar

I’m not talking about someone who’s won awards, or who the journalists gush over, or someone with a storied CFL career.

I’m talking about one player from your team who is having a good or great season but garnering little to no fanfare or accolades.

For me, as an Alouettes fan, it’s Mustafa Johnson (DT). Though he’s only in his second year with the team, he is imposing himself on enemy offences after week, grading out well in PFF with pressures, hurries, and sometimes sacks. He’s got a great motor and never stops in pursuit. Shawn Lemon has gotten a lot of attention (rightfully so), and Lwal Uguak is starting to turn heads, but Mustafa Johnson is right there with them and a substantial part of what makes our defence solid.

Who’s the guy on your team who you think people should be talking about?

All good picks. I don’t recognize any of the names of players listed outside my team. Any bets on which one of these players will start to get noticed first?

I’m with Bobo on one of his Ticat picks - Carthell Flowers-Lloyd. League leader in special teams tackles, almost always first guy down the field on punt cover. I think he’ll get regular reps on defence next year, possibly at SAM linebacker. Javien Elliott at db as well, but currently 6-gamed.
