Harris is out (maybe for the season) and Oliveira is ready to roll. Talk about timing!

Oliveira played part of ONE GAME in 2019 and missed the whole season. The following year was cancelled so he saw no action whatsoever and this year he finally got enough reps to get a feel for the position... then NOTHING. He sat on the sidelines for the last five games and watched the Master do his thing.

With only a few games remaining the Oliveira 'is ready' to carry the workload with a body that is well rested and undamaged. No other starting back in the league has such an advantage. At this time of the year everyone is nursing some kind of injury or in need of a break. Not Oliveira. He's like a freshly minted battle tank with no wear and tear whatsoever charging into battle against broken down heaps (this week it's the ailing Lions)... it's almost unfair. :+1:

Yeah olivera is smart to keep active on the Sideline even when not playing to help keep in the game in case he is needed. Many times back up players won't do that .

When Harris was hurt and removed from the game, I watched him carefully on the sidelines...It's hard to say for sure but I believe his injury was not season ending and he'll likely be around for the playoffs ... If not Brady is more than competent and the running game remains at a high level with him being in the lineup

It's possible he could of sprained a ligament or hurt his meniscus . No doubt team is likely waiting on mri results and agree Brady is more then capable

News on Harris should be coming down late today (for salary cap & 6IR purposes).
Suspect the news won't be very good.
Based on how sly the organization has been about making any announcements whatsoever - - - the best bomber fans can hope for is Harris misses all of regular season and will only be put on active roster for Playoff Game 1 (WF) or Game 2 (Grey Cup) if rehab option selected vs. surgical alternative!

He was added to 6 game but not much else was revealed

Looks like Harris will be ready for the Cup if needed. Meanwhile we have a wealth of Canadian Running Backs (two of them) that can do the job. Harris can take his time in rehab. I have to wonder though, with the injuries piling up this year... will Harris be in our plans next year? Will Walters chose to go with the younger talent going forward? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
