TORONTO — Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Brady Oliveira and Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly will go head-to-head for the league’s top individual honour – the Most Outstanding Player – at the 2023 CFL Awards.
Well, that wasn’t too hard. A lot of us got it right on these. Forgot about coach of the year but that would be fairly obvious for the West & East.
So - I say Dinwiddie should take that this year. The rest - Kelly, Betts, Oliveira, Allen, Leake & Stiggers. Argos will dominate the awards. This year the East was tougher than the West. No team in the East finished below .500 vs the West - 19 wins to 12 for the East. I really don’t think it will be close in any of those categories, not to forget that whomever ends up 2nd has had outstanding years themselves.
Sorry about this - my comment has nothing to do with this article - BUT, I tried watching the Commissioner’s Comments to the media - which supposedly took place 2 hours ago. When I tried to watch and listen - I first had to sign in and commit to receiving CFL news, etc… - (didn’t I sign in when I joined this site years ago!) - anyway, I signed in as requested - got ZIP, nothing, zilch! I waited and tried again - same result. I am an avid CFL fan - can’t the CFL site show the same interest and get their electronics right?
