In the not too embarrassing dept., the Riders announced earlier this week that Saturday’s game was a sellout, with all 33,478 tickets being sold. That’s pretty impressive for a 0-7 team, no? :thup:

Anything that puts fans into the seats at any of the CFL stadiums is a good thing. I highly doubt Ottawa was upset at the billboards - as they cash registers rang out with ticket sales they enjoyed the good laugh as well.

I think we need more of this kinda of rivalry stuff all across the country.

Exactly. The teams around the league should look more closely at what Saskatchewan has done to turn things around for the Riders since the low point in the 80s. And this is one of those actions to emulate.

Having said that, I do agree that this billboard could be made more specific to Ottawa, where I don’t think there are so many Rider fans compared to other markets.
