obies and charlies 2 mistakes

the first mistake was not resigning armour our defence seems lost without him but with the second mistake he might not have made a difference anyway.
the 2nd mistake was hiring dc denny creenhan whose defence in calgary was just as bad as the cats were in 2007 so why should this be surprise that our defence cant stop anyone this year yet

Oh man, here we go. Granted Armour was a very good linebacker for us last year, but too many people on this site think hes the CFL's version of Lawrence Taylor. Our defense didn't play worth a darn last night, but our defense also didn't turn the ball over 6 times either. Armour was a complete non-factor last night except for his interception (which was accurately pointed out as a "gift" from printers. If Casey puts any touch on that ball, Armour falls on his behind and looks stupid). If Armour was as good as everyone thinks BC never would have let him get away in the 1st place.

We have 4 players with more tackles than Armour and 2 of them are LB's. Too many people think that we lose because of the players that no longer play for us. That is not the case. Armour, Anderson, and Hodges were all non-factors last night.

People need to understand that we can't keep replacing player after player if they have a bad game. One Calgary fan accurately pointed out that the reason Calgary is playing well is because the core guys have been playing together for 3-4 years.

Everyone needs to relax, the sky is not falling. Everyone who is complaining now are the same people that were buying their tickets to Montreal for GC after the win in Toronto.

Are you kidding? Did you not see howlost our defense was last year?

They stopped Saskatchewan and gave the offence an oppurtunity to take the lead, which they did, and they stopped them again and gave the offence the oppurtunity to kill the clock, which they didn't.

The defense was bad last year - but they are terrible this year. By mid third quarter they've got nothing left in the tank. People are very impressed by that we stopped saskatchewan (if you can call allowing 400 yds of offense "stopping"); well, i'm just fishing here, but I think we'll see that Mr. Durant doesn't have an mvp type of game this week. Maybe the reason we were in that game is because of a third string qb, as well as he did play. Whether it's "because of" Armour or not, the D was better with him.

I don't think this is always a good thing. Are the other 2 Cats with lots of tackles our safeties? Sacks might be interesting, but with the time our defense is on the field we should have a few tackles. Where they make them is another story.
