I loved Reggie in Montreal, but a few things jump out to me here.
- Hamilton clearly overpaid for a player coming off a serious injury who basically has only half of one season (2023) on his CV.
- Goveia can talk all he wants about building a team, but the three-year deal is for Hamilton, not Stubblefield. It means they get to cut him in year two if he’s not the same player he was pre-injury or benefit from a fixed contract if they keep him.
- No mention of hard money terms. How much is Stubbs making in year one? How much is guaranteed money? What about marketing money?

Un joueur et un coach provenant du football québécois, peut-être le premier montréalais en charge de l’offensive des Blues Bombers, bonne saison 2025 sauf contre les Alouettes.

Hamilton is spending a lot. Pretty sure that what they’re paying Stubblefield in hard money in year 1 is the same or more than what Beverette is making. So they’re shelling out elite D money for a player who has only played 3/4 of one season and who is coming off a major, serious injury.
Lawler and White’s combined hard-money salary is almost $500k by my estimate. Then you have a #4 receiver like Wolitarsky making $132k plus marketing money.

Ottawa, on paper, is a really strong team. Their secondary is a question mark. Not sure why they signed Henderson. Haven’t seen him as an upgrade.

Ottawa looks good on paper. Getting Geno will be a huge boost for Brown, who needs a top receiver to catch those 50/50 balls in key situations. Adding Stanback gives them a credible running game too.
However, I remain unsold on Condell as an OC, Fields will have to show that he was the better half of the Fields-Eiben co-DC combo in Toronto, and that secondary is going to get lit up any time the pass rush doesn’t get there in time. I also see Dyce as a bit of a lame-duck coach. He has to win out the gate this year. If he doesn’t, I think they’ll axe him and bump Campbell into the HC role.
I’m also not convinced that they have viable QB depth if Brown gets injured or underperforms. We all know what Shiltz is by this point, and Crum is basically a younger Shiltz.

If I was running things in Ottawa, I’d have Adams as #2. What little I’ve seen of him has impressed me. Crum and Shiltz can battle for 3d string QB sneaks.

I agree with you. The question is: does Ottawa see it the same way? I would have a true open camp battle for the #2 position between Shiltz, Crum, and Adams. Whoever wins it, wins it.

Deux nouveaux entraîneurs avec les Blue Bombers et ils ont fait partie des Alouettes:
André Bolduc entraîneur des porteurs de ballon
Billy Jean assistant entraîneur offensif et entraîneur des receveurs.
Ils formeront avec Jason Hogan , nouveau coordonnateur offensif de Winnipeg, le trio québécois des anciens Alouettes, au niveau du coaching à l’offensive de Winnipeg.
J’ai hâte de voir l’attaque de Winnipeg dirigée par Jason Hogan, je lui souhaite une bonne saison et du succès pour la prochaine saison, sa première comme coordonnateur au niveau professionnel.
Félicitations André Bolduc et Billy Jean pour votre embauche et bon succès en 2025.
Au niveau des anciens Alouettes à Winnipeg, il y a également Éric Deslauriers aux opérations football. Bon succès Éric Deslauriers dans tes nouvelles fonctions.

Winnipeg et BC sont comme l’année dernière, les deux clubs qui recevront un choix de 2ieme ronde additionnel ( les choix numéro 18 et 19) pour avoir utilisé le plus de joueurs N sur le maximum de jeux en 2024.
Winnipeg a utilisé régulièrement 9 joueurs N comme débutant soit 2 de plus le minimum de 7 et BC a utilisé régulièrement 8 joueurs N comme débutant soit 1 de plus que le minimum de 7.
BC a le 3ieme choix en première ronde mais comme il risque de ne pas avoir respecté les règles du plafond salarial, ce club risque perdre ce choix.
Les Alouettes ont actuellement le 6 choix de la première ronde, parce que Edmonton a utilisé son choix de première choix en 2025 pour le repêchage supplémentaire en 2024 de Zach Mathis.
Si BC perd son 3ieme choix, les Alouettes auront le 5 choix de la première ronde en 2025, après 1- Calgary 2- Hamilton 3- Ottawa 4- Saskatchewan 5- Montréal.
