It looks like we’re spreading our former SAM LBs around the East. Pickett now in Ottawa, Stubblefield just signing with Hamilton.
Hopefully Najee Murray can stay healthy and hold down the position.

Don’t discount the fact Demetrious Maxi came to EE land from Toronto as ST Coordinator and Defensive Assistant either. That and Hervey cleared a million or more in cap space by dumping the MBT, Bede, and Lewis contracts from last year, which were affordable then because a lot of the team were 1st, 2nd and 3rd year guys making league minimum.
Toronto also showed they can retain some key people to rebuild around and after the same thing happened with players abandoning ship a couple years ago, they came back to win the GC last year.

Boy Winnipeg is also getting weakened in this FA process along with the Argos. But Haba a good pick up for the double blue.

We’ll have to see whether their recruiting is going to be enough to offset these losses. Haba isn’t a star, but they aren’t overflowing with quality DL depth, and how much longer can Jefferson defy the passage of time? Combine with the loss of Tyrell Ford, an excellent cover DB, and there should be opportunities to score on Winnipeg this season.
