:als_red: Non-Alouettes CFL Talk

It’s possible, but Archambault also has a player personnel job with the Als, so he’s got a full plate as it is. I’d let him get a bit more experience first. It took Kilam 20 years for this opportunity so there’s no rush.

Should GM Danny Maciocia and HC Jason Maas ever have a falling out, I would expect Maciocia to name Byron Archambault as the next Alouette Head Coach.

Continues the trend to younger for the HC position in the CFL.

Yeah I agree. I’d say he’s the next Als head coach. Interesting how none of our coaches or back office guys are ever named as candidates for open jobs.

I’m curious to see if Eric Deslauriers lands elsewhere.

A sign of organizational stability and satisfied employees, hopefully?

Do doubt that, but also I feel like the rest of the league being out of touch with what happens in Montreal. I would think that AC, Thorpe, and maybe even Archambault would have at least been mentioned as HC candidates in Edmonton and B.C. Or some of Danny’s staff, as GM material. But it never happens.

Pinball apparently just said this about John Murphy.

“It is our anticipation that he’ll be back,” Clemons said. “He’s a part of
who we are and what we’re doing.”

Well, he’s right Murphy is part of what they are doing: being an unprincipled organization.

The guy actively tried to cover up a case of ongoing sexual harassment and this is how Pinball is talking about him: as a key part of the organization. Garbage people, all of 'em.

I cannot express how far Pinball has dropped in my estimation. Win at all costs sums it up.

He won’t even disclose what the sexual harasser is doing to avoid repeating his past behaviour or how the organization is going to support any women’s organization that focuses on the aftermath of sexual harassment or assault. Nothing, nada, just a single 9-game suspension and 0 details.

Not firing the sexual harasser and Murphy is bad enough. Not even pretending to care enough to work with any external organization to help women is abysmal.

Screw that entire organization. I hope they go down in flames.

There isn’t any questions in my mind that if Davis had hit free agency, a number of teams would have made him offers.
