You bet gloat
What impressed me is how the kid quickly learns from his mistakes. The second interception by Hunter was based on them seeing how Rourke was reacting to the blitz and jumping the route because he knew where it was going. The next series they blitzed and were looking to jump the route and left Hatcher open over the top. Doubt you will see Rourke careless with the ball when running going forward.
So far so good for you guys.
Do you all still think the lions will be 8th out of 9. Not just a good offence. Not just a good defense. Feels good to gloat . lol
Gloat gloat gloat gloat, gloat gloat gloat gloat.
Wow. That was an ā8 gloatā post. I havenāt seen a Lionsā fan this happy in a long time.
Hmm you all did have the Lions finishing 2 nd last this year I believe. Gloat gloat gloat.
Gotta give credit where credit is dueā¦ Lions looking better than great and your QB ā¦ SIMPLY STELLAR
I had the Lions finishing last or second last, thatās true. Most of us did. What an amazing surprise this is that the Lions have a legit chance of winning it all this year. Drink it in Munsey. A team like this doesnāt rise out of nowhere like this very often.
This yearās Lions might be the best team BCās had this century. If only they had more fans like you who could appreciate it.
but then again the Riders did not take kindly to this wishful thinking butt kicking and won the game despite your wish. I cannot believe the penalties the Elk tookā¦wowā¦ Not like jones to have an undisciplined team.
The Lions right now look to be the team to win in a playoff game vs the Bombers ā¦if that is to happen that someone is even gonna do it.
TSN must be pinching itself right now over the way this scenario is taking shape. Due to sheer luck in the scheduling EVERYONE will get to see the Bombers and the Lions wage a battle royale at the END OF THE SEASON in back to back games. Ratings will be through the roof.
That will depend on what is at stake. Itās looking better and better that the games will be meaningful. If they arenāt we might not see much or any of Zach or Rourke. Whomever finishes first and avoids the semi final could play the other team 3 times in a row. Since the Bombers won the first game BC will likely have to win both of their remaining games against them. Munsey is right in that I donāt think anyone saw this scenario prior to the start of the season. Now the BC bandwagon needs reinforced struts.
Hopefully it will be meaningful games tooā¦it looks like it will actually shake out that way too.
Oh, then the Stamps took BC too lightly ? ā¦ or are BC and their Captain Canuck just a genuine top drawer football team ? While iām a great fan of the Grey Cup the format of having an inferior eastern or crossover west 4th place team in the big game seems so bizarre.
I major league baseball in the past, winning the league pennant was the ultimate as a team had to be good over 150+
games in both the American and National leagues. Then the two top teams fought it out for the World Series. Now we have the " Wild Card" in all leagues. So potentially a wild card or a CFL crossover team can make it to and win the ābig oneā which makes me wonder why we bother with a regular season.
With you on that .
Loved baseball when it was more about the race for the pennant .
Less teams created an elevation of the playoffs that were on a much higher level . It created a taller platform of significance somehow . IMO .
Wild cards in baseball with too many teams added has turned me off .
The special time of year at Thanksgiving ā¦ just felt right .
November is not the time for baseball to end .
Amen
Well you would be a huge minority. A dozen years ago the CFL was drawing 850k a game on TV, and the Jays were drawing 450. Now the CFL draws 450, and the Jays draw 1.2 million.
We've lost Rourke but we still have a very good offence and a great defence. Don't be counting the lions out just because we lost one guy.
It will be very interesting to see how the team does with OāConnor behind center. I donāt think anyone expects him to pick up exactly where Rourke left off, but if OāConnor can play to the level of guys like MBT and Trevor Harris, I think the Lions will still win more than they lose. They might, however, have to start incorporating more running plays into their gameplan.
I donāt know much about OāConnor, but good as he may be, I doubt he has anything approaching the all world release of Rourke. I think how well the O Line plays will have a huge impact on how well OāConnor does and how well the running game performs as you point out. Nevertheless, I think BC wonāt just fold without Rourke and will still be a force to be reckoned with the second half of the season.
