went back 50 yrs and only other time was Montreal 20pts over Philly in 1977.

Seems the oilers never did it. I was surprised.

Bruins are going to beat the Leafs in 3…

And yes, I know it is a 7 game series.

East:
Lightning in 4
Canes in 6
Bruins in 4
Pens in 7

West
Flames in 6
Preds in 5
Jets in 6
Knights in 6

Cant believe what Columbus did last night. Didn’t expect them to win a single game.

Even though I expect Nashville to win their series I wont be surprised if Dallas does.
Nashville not as good at scoring this year compared to last. Watching them I noticed that while they seem to have most of the same players they look really different in their play. Disappointing

Most constantly entertaining game to me was the Pitt/NY game.

Nice win by the Blues. So so game.

Didn’t watch much of the Vegas game. Glad Sharks won. Shame to me that either one of them has to lose

altogether a good first night of playoffs

The Columbus win was definitely the big surprise of the night for me. 3 road teams win of the 5 games played.

Marner and Tavares were terrific. BIG win in Boston.

Boooooooooooooooooooooo

well, tonight I got bored with the Boston game with good reason it seems

Enjoyed most of the Wash game, specially the result. Got scary for a while

The one series I have no interest in is the Calgary one. Didn’t watch. Result expected.

I stated that the Leafs were not tough enough and they probably aren’t but I did not expect Boston to stop playing after scoring their first goal and that’s what it looked like… I really figured a team like Boston that could win as many games as they did, all the while playing shorthanded, should be able to win in the playoffs. The reason they are shorthanded all year is because of their captain. This guy is a liability at best. When he’s on the ice is the easiest time to score against them. …I finally heard, after many years, an announcer proclaim that Chara was getting away with murder and I have always wondered why this guy can slash, hack and crosscheck with impunity through every game and nothing is called. Are the refs afraid of him ? If the Bruins bench Chara, the Leafs better watch out…Not to take anything away from the Leafs but Boston cannot play the Leafs wide open. If they do, they will be toast. The Leafs played great last night. Hardly any mistakes. Next game will be different. Should be good.

You’re right Dan, Leafs played a great game. When Chara was on the ice, Leafs went to his side. With their speed and he more like a pylon, we saw what happened.
