I figure to start today’s thread so of course we can all weigh in with our hot takes, cheers, jeers, or generally enlightening commentary, or not, like usual.

My regional game is Vikings at Bears.
Cruel and unusual punishment!

My Browns are at least putting up a fight against the hated Niners.

D’oh, missed FG.

But at least its a contest. I wasn’t sure it would be.

It’s still only the first quarter.

Not watching it but I see that the Panthers are up early 14-0 on the Dolphins.

Lots of flags, pregame fight, not a great example of discipline.

Some awesome catches by receivers and pads are definitely popping

That’s what I’m watching too. I only have that and Miami/Carolina and San Fran/Cleveland as options. I’ll switch depending on how the games are playing out. I wish they were showing Seattle/Cincy in my area.

Ive got Seattle Cincy on CBS

Just watching this garbage until the Lions game starts.
I don’t get CBS to watch the other game.
I might just play cards with my wife in a bit.

I’d go hide out and perhaps defer to the second half if I were you, for something like “the beatings shall continue until morale improves” comes to mind.

Alas no CBS for me. Only Fox (SF/Cle) TSN (Mia/Car) and CTV which is Da Bears.

In Winnipeg we don’t get much when the Viqueens are playing as we are considered to be in their broadcast area or something like that. The CBS game is blacked out.

You are kidding me? This practice was such garbage in 2010 let alone 2023!

In Philadelphia, our choice is as follows:

CBS - Washington at Falcons
Hard pass from me though likely competitive

Fox - San Francisco at Cleveland
This is my current selection.

It looks like it will Pirate Sports Network at work for the second half for Seattle at Cincinnati, which should be the game on Fox instead of this Cleveland game but those coverage map bojacks pull this crap all the time.

I agree with others that the Miami and Houston games look good too.

Canada has arcane broadcast rules.
Thank a bloated bureaucracy and an organization called the CRTC

Sorry that you also have crap where you are. To me the Cincy/Seattle game is the clear winner in this time slot on paper.

For a few years until about 10 years ago I had NFL Sunday ticket through my cable provider. I loved the way I could switch to any game and remember some Sundays where I could watch 2 or 3 nail biting endings live. It was about $150 a year for every game of the year as I recall.

Our cable provider then took it away. I’m not sure if it is available now. Even if it was I wouldn’t dedicate the time I did back then and the price would probably be double.

Halftime
Vikings: 2 FGs, 1TD and a missed extra point
Bears: 2FGs

I picked Da Bears based on their showing last week but am doubting that pick. Bears keep shooting themselves in Da Foot.

That was a tricky pick too, for it’s very difficult to trust either of those teams, but I certainly trust those Bears less.

Its amazing the difference in PI between NFL and CFL. The rule is basically written the same, but called completely differently.

Fields’s backup was playing lights out…,until that pick.

I still can’t get used to the Browns in white helmets
