Jaguars

I'm not sure how those Jets are able to play so soon after the charring celebrations near the stadium in popular revolt last night, but I figure the local unelected power structure decided it was going to be that way and this is the business we have chosen after all.

But this awful Thursday night scheduling makes for an effective playoff atmosphere given that both teams either win or can pack their bags for late January.

I'm going to have to cheer against the Jets now, for they have let me down twice in my picks plus now we have a greater chance to finally see that mysterious plot to extradite Streveler to Canada work out.

Giants

Unlike the Jets they are not angry though even they should be angry. As we saw in and after the reverse-home-cooking win at Washington late Sunday night, they are chill and feel like they are in the groove and they behave like they don't give a crap.

Moxie is hard to come by these days you know, and the Vikings are exceptional bed poopers who only managed to be out-pooped by those Colts in that legendary comeback win, so I'm going with moxie.

Patriots

Angry and cold says much here for what should be a very bruising match-up with a playoff atmosphere all around. Will there be home-cooking by the officials or cheating again? I am going to select a team led by an beet-red angry Belichick after that iconic loss to the Raiders, for Belichick will likely be using his own fumes and hot air to keep everybody warm again along with chicken broth. I approve of chicken broth in the winter.

Steelers

Ugggh, you HAD to pick this awful game scheduled at an AWFUL time? This game is bad luck regardless of the winner, for it's bad blood on Christmas Eve. What else is wrong with you, NFL? Ah damnit, you and your damn obsession with stress too you cagey @mahalcflers !

Rams

Because the Broncos SUCK, and we lose either way in this game though we can all win whenever that Baker Mayfield loses unless you have real skin in the game.

Cowboys :face_vomiting:

See the general NFL thread for details.

Well you can rest assured they suck too, but against those Broncos well that should be one of the few "WHO CARES!" games of the entire competitive weekend.

well i hope someone rams both Aaron Rogers and Russell Wilson

Bold strategy I see. You're a good man there picking Eagles' experienced backup Minshew to perform well, and for that Dak to poop the bed in his own house yet again, in his first game as a starter this season let alone on the road in the biggest game of the weekend for international exposure and ratings.

I hope you are correct, but of course I won't bet on that so win-win for me on this one I figure.
:beers:

Dak throws way too many interceptions (11 in 9 games - as many as Mahomes, Allen, and Cousins have in 15 games) and their offence and special teams turn the ball over too often. All the pressure to perform this week is on the 'Boys.

Minshew gives them a QB they haven't seen and no tendencies etc. to key on. While Hurts no doubt gives them a better chance to win - the Eagles don't have to win.

Jaguars. We don't stand a prayer.
Giants-Vikes is hard. Both have a tendency to overachieve. I'll take the Giants.
Bengals
Steelers, until the Raiders can show consistency on defense.
Broncos

Jacksonville Jags - The NY Jets are a mess.

NY Giants - more of me Doubting the Vikings than me believing in the Giants (also how in the world is Brian Daboll dragging this roster to the playoffs?! COTY)

Cincinnati Bengals - New England may need to put Stevenson and Myer in witness protection after last week.

Las Vegas - (picked against the Steelers last week and was wrong. I’ll double down and see what happens)

LA Rams - literally flipped a coin. Heads - Rams tails - Broncos. Landed heads. So Rams :man_shrugging:

Philadelphia Eagles -
We thought it was crazy when Nick Foles led the Eagles to the promised land. Folks, it will be even crazier when Gardner ā€œMississippi Mudflapsā€ Minshew does the exact same thing! Calling it now. (Feel free to troll me after this ages poorly😃)

Have a great week all.
