In spite of what appeared to be a tough slate and many close games, most of us did pretty well. Unfortunately there were no perfect weeks. There was a change at the top of the standings, which are below.
I anticipate that GGirl will be posting further stats as she always does and that Mahal will be posting this week's slate of games shortly. Please be aware that this is a short week with many games on Saturday the 24th and with this being a short week due to Christmas and the holidays so be sure to post your picks early.
five people got 5 -1 and i won the week so yay me. @Grover was a missed DPI call from a perfect week and poor @IllinoisGuy came close to the dreaded 0 -6.
I also give you all participants credit for being a cagey, rough, and suspicious lot.
It makes for better sparring and competition.
Look how fiercely we split on the Lions and Jets and the Steelers and Panthers for our picks amidst the resultant inflammatory mayhem near MetLife Stadium last night as the charred wreckage is being examined this morning.
Yet almost all of us now have a tighter bond after being screwed over via the referees at Washington last night.
i feel all warm and fuzzy inside anytime the washington football team gets screwed, and i picked the giants. will never pick the commanders even if they are playing the colts.
Aye, me too, it was great to see especially also for most of their fans, and hey you won out of that mess, so maybe greater good for a week, but we sure better not see that crap going forward in this season!
Strategy Note

For those of us playing catch-up, due to the tie-breakers involved, we want more high-scoring games than the opposite as can be more the case at this time of the season given adverse weather.
To make up ground, not only do you have to have a successful pick of anybody tied with you or ahead of you, but when it's a high-scoring game and preferably a blowout, your chances of making up ground on the tiebreaker are slightly greater.
No doubt I will be cheering for any teams in the win column to just pour on the points late in the game too.
In the last week of the season though, for those of you gambling, things can get really tricky for sake of points. I used to avoid betting especially that week back in my small-time time.
