As some of us are looking for a place to put the odd post not related to the playoffs or the pool, I am starting this thread for the future and anything appropriate now. I will move in a couple of posts and lock last year’s thread.
A 20 second clip of Tom Brady impolitely answering a question about his future on the radio.
Of course Green Bay is not in the playoffs, but for now this is the general NFL thread too.
Should Rodgers and the Packers look to part ways after 18 seasons together, a number of AFC teams would likely make a play for the four-time NFL MVP. The Jets, Raiders, Titans and Patriots stand out as logical suitors: New York is positioned for a playoff run but has a pledged need for QB help; Las Vegas is set to trade Derek Carr and last year acquired Rodgers' top target Davante Adams; Tennessee could move on from Ryan Tannehill; New England is restructuring its offensive staff.
Of these, the one of the four I absolutely do not see is New England. I don't see his ego and that of Bill Belichick meshing or enough room in the same room for them.
Please dump Rodgers off in Tennessee or with the New York Jets (and let Streveler go somewhere else so we can execute our exfiltration operation of Streveler back to the CFL already).
Anyway, SCREW YOU AARON RODGERS all the same.
but but the tin foil man says he can win an MVP with the right team!
good grief, just retire and go away already
awesome, i was wondering if we should start a new season NFL thread.
have McVay and the Rams figured out what they want to do yet?
edit: nevermind
the broken and chaotic coaching carousel reminds me of the ridiculous quarterbacking carousel this season. i wonder if the two are related somehow
There is much broken with the coaching system in the NFL. The lawsuit by Brian Flores against the NFL for discrimination based on race looms for federal court as the NFL continues its effort to have it go to arbitration / NFL Kangaroo Court.
Here is an odd development in Arizona:
Anyway, college senior or post-season bowl games, much like that NFL Pro Bowl nonsense. Take 'em behind the barn already.
That's how all that mess now is looking alright. Yep.
My new one won't stay still that long......
No if Flores wins there will be an avalanche of similar suits using Flores as a precedent. That what the NFL wants to avoid.....
yea i was kinda wondering if that may happen
I can think of one former player with a huge afro that could really embarrass the owners and the league....
heh good point. and i hope he does.
Who knows what could change given a ruling in favour of Flores and any given new findings or precedent.
All the same, "K" (avoiding mention here so that the sleuths lurking around don't get another rise months down the road via a search of posts) had settled with the NFL and is under some confidentiality orders pursuant to the settlement, for which I must repeat given a small few here that the NFL admitted that in fact they were wrong and that part of the matter is no longer up for debate.
Of course "K's" attorneys and various other former NFL players and coaches will carefully review any ruling.
oh he is agent K now? there must be some forum activity prior to my time that dictates social justice discussion stealth mode lol
I'm not always big on cats, but some of them are cool though and we see eye to eye, game know game if you will
, but cat in the box is almost always a good thing and was always better than that jack-in-the-box too.
Oh yes some ugly forum history there - the last thing we need is a certain small few to pop up and unload more garbage to get a thread locked. Mum, or "K," is the word for now.
why do i know exactly which people here would unload vitriol at agent K and his endeavours?
