NFL Game Thread Thanksgiving Week 2025

One of the best Thanksgiving slates we have ever seen.

Here is a smattering of storylines for the games this weekend for Week 13.

And the Giants are no longer tanking, or at least looking like they are not tanking though perhaps will still be tanking. It remains uncertain if Dart will play. This could simply be decoy action as well. See Baker Mayfield below.

I would be extremely shocked if Mayfield plays given the nature of that shoulder injury well after a decline in his play during the game due in some parts to the aggravated shoulder.

This smells like decoy action for the planning by the opponent to me, though it sounds like perhaps Mayfield may be back in another week.

We have to wonder about the risk of re-injury, but without Mayfield, the Bucs are not going to play in the playoffs, in far more than in my opinion.

Thanksgiving Day morning is generally lame here in the US, except for some places with regional traditions.
And parades suck.
But fear not, here are two heartwarming stories to start the day before one heads out on the road, if not already.

Now this was a very long tradition, but the change is small potatoes.

Then look at this guy Frank Ragnow, who has been inspired.
There he was sitting around a week ago farting around comfortably watching videos on YouTube and FAST channels, including reruns of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” and for the first time he realized that he won’t play on Thanksgiving Day.

He feels great but maybe he does not like his in-laws, and he said something like,
“Screw it. I’m in shape damnit. I can’t just sit around here. It’s better to fart outside anyway. I’m going back to play. And I’m gonna give 'em hell too, for this is it for me now.”

I bet he loads up on the turkey and the stuffing today at the training table,
but he can’t overdo it, for he has to stay himself
HONNNN-GRY for those Vikings and those Bears!

The most watched games of the year. I wonder if the CFL will ever pick up on this and put the Grey Cup on Canadian Thanksgiving where it belongs? So far a blown opportunity every year.

Those must be the Canadians that don’t celebrate Thanksgiving and go to work instead because it’s an American holiday. Same ones that balk at May long being British, Easter from the Middle East, Christmas being German and that Labour Day thing sounding kind of communist.

Let the games begin

Of course, we now hear the following sorts of thoughts in the distance:

“WHAT! I did not know any of that! I was NOT consulted about any of these holidays! I’m cancelling my tickets!”
