NFL Game Day Thread Week 9 3-4 Nov 2024

Happy Sunday all. Enjoy the action today - same time and one hour later in the US lest you live in Arizona, Puerto Rico, or Hawai’i!

The best part is especially the evening games, when it’s already dark around 5PM and you can really wind it down.
:beers:

I wonder what Jerry will do if the Cowboys get beat today…Atlanta is so frightened of their defence they just ran a 4th and 4 - successfully.

And then the Cowboys offence gets owned on a 4th and 1 after a turnover.

Atlanta barely made it on 4th and coughed up the ball their next series. I think this game will be close and if Dallas doesn’t win they can pretty much write off the post season. I don’t think Jones will do much either way simply because he can’t. Dallas hasn’t been able to stop anything since the best defensive player in the world has been out.

That Cowboys touchdown- wow! The Falcons had Prescott in the backfield and the pass was juggled. Made me laugh out loud when he caught it!

Dowdle made a great catch although he should have caught it initially. That’s the first time in a long time the Cowboys offence has looked anything like their NFL best offence of the last few years. Good news for us Cowboys fans if they can keep it up, but still too many injuries on defence to probably matter including their 3 best defenders out.

Did Bob Dyce call that fake punt for Dallas?

4 turnovers on downs by Dallas - unforgivable. Both by players and coaches.

And they get the Eagles next week, almost for sure without Dak and possibly without Lamb.

Done like Texas Barbecue…

Whatever Lamb has, it looks extremely bad.

It will make Dallas fans sick to watch overtime for the Titans…Pollard 5 yards, Pollard 7 yards, Pollard, Pollard, Pollard…

Well at least the Saints are worse than Dallas, losing to Carolina.

Cleveland back in form getting smoked by the Chargers.

The Ravens crushed an improving Broncos team.

Chargers are looking scary good the last few weeks. Won’t be picking against them in the pool no matter who they face.

Naw. It was a pure salary cap move. They couldn’t afford him. Better to spend at QB and receiver and O Line and edge rusher than running back. With few exceptions running backs are a dime a dozen.

And Tennessee wins by 3 with an interception in OT. It’s nice to have one win in the pool already! :slightly_smiling_face:

What conditions in Green Bay. Sideways sleet and wind gusts of up to 43 mph expected. Big break for the Packers although Detroit up 7-3 at the moment.

Detroit’s Branch ejected by the NFL
Command Center for a head shot. Normally wouldn’t do so I think, but not hating the call. The CFL is way behind on disciplining head shots based on what I saw this year. That’s one way to get rid of head shots.

I’d like an explanation as to why Detroit’s Branch was ejected. I’ve seen way worse hits than that hundreds of times.

Was it just because of this one or because of hits from prior games? This one in isolation didn’t warrant an ejection IMO.
