NFL Game Day Thread Week 2 Sunday-Monday 15-16 Sept 24

Oh well it’s time again. Wow did that week go by fast!

Like many, I’ll be either napping or enjoying the weather until the later games, but by all means enjoy and please continue your studies of the new kickoff.

On with the show.

It does what a vacuum cleaner does…

At a minute from halftime the Buc’s Lions game is turning into a titanic struggle…

That wasn’t the script…Lions get beat at home, overtime in Washington, Seahawks need overtime to beat the Pats…

Browns over Jags.
Raiders over the Ravens at home.

Cards with an early 14-0 lead over the Rams

(I get those teams two mixed up sometimes too.)

That’s not normally a problem for me, but I still use the name San Diego Chargers all the time. :slightly_smiling_face:

Glad someone is paying attention!

Thanks Abendschan.

Pretty decent game going on in KC. Chiefs have their first lead 17-16 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Am I the only one who wants Butker to miss every kick?

One of the plays of the day, if not also for the season, on the one-handed interception by the Bengals cornerback #29 Cam Taylor-Britt.

…and then Burrows coughs it up…KC back to the lead.

Unfortunately Burrow fumbled on the next series and KC returned it for a TD. KC up by one at the start of the 4th. A pretty good game going on.

Chase forgetting rule number 1. Don’t piss off the ref…

Cardinals 41, Rams 10 for a good old-fashioned butt-kicking there too today.

Shot of the Taylor and the Bimbettes after Kelce’s catch and run, but alas, penalty on the play.

Take another drink now @Jon .

And also there’s no I in team.

Just after that play happened an article was posted with Chase saying the Bengals misrepresented his contract status. At one time he threatened to sit out the first two games even though he has a perfectly valid contract. He also wants to be the highest paid receiver in the league even though he isn’t the best.

This guy’s a piece of work.

Alright everybody, it’s that time of the season, Mahomes is on the two-minute drill on CBS with Jim Nantz dealing with his usual two challenges:

  1. Containing his excitement to maintain his CBS decorum
  2. Not getting caught elbowing or punching pesky Tony Romo to shut him up so that the moments and game can breathe on their own.

Man, Cincy had them. Can only hope the misogynist misses.

Tough break on that PI on fourth down by the Bengals, but it was the right call though that flag was strangely very late!

With the shot of the bimbettes after the kick is good for the win for the Chiefs, take another drink, damnit.
