NFL fan changes

The NFL strongly encourages fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined what is permissible. Beginning with preseason games, fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12? x 6? x 12.? (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com), or
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bag options.
An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.</blockquote>

This may speed up processing people through security and into the stadium but it seems like they are stripping fans more and more of any personal freedoms to enjoy games. Only clear plastic bags and small clutches? no camera bags? I know the bombers are not allowing certain cameras, primarily the professional ones this year but they haven’t gone to such drastic lengths. But basically its becoming “don’t bring anything to the game but your wallet” ridiculous, and not so subtle. Anyone else agree the No Fun League is going overboard again or do you think this is reasonable and should be the new norm?

Not overboard.... but extra cautious.

I think they should allow seat cushions the teams still sell them .

But the bottom line is your going to a crowded stadium for just a few hours what do you need to bring a whole lot of crap with ya for anyways .

You can call it no fun league and whatever but these rules were written with blood ..spilled from innocent people gathered to enjoy an event way too many incidents have happened recently

I don't mind wont stop me from going to NFL games

Like or not, though not as high a degree as after 9/11, our lives are changed forever after the events during and after the Boston Marathon in April.

It will take awhile for security measures for any large assembly of people, including for sporting events, to adjust including any given overreaction as we have seen with so-called airport security in the US.

And hell no folks won't stop going to games unless of course they live in Florida and just don't like the idea of baking in the sun and not being by a pool or a beach in September or even in much of October. That's unless they are fans of college football!

Otherwise if you have tried hanging out in most of Florida on most sunny afternoons in September and in much of October, you know damn well what I'm talking about.

That may be true for Tampa ..but here in Jax we have an owner that likes to spend money first was the state of the art dressing room for the players now comes a 60 million reno complete with pools in the endzone ..

We gonna stay cool here

Dawg that's just plain awesome and going to be the best venue in Florida let alone perhaps the entire Southeast US!

If you build it they will come ...usually and not if it's in Miami ...folks better not get too fair weather about things either like the other two Florida NFL teams.
