Final cuts down to 53 have been made Lots of players available will the Ticats airlift in some new players ? Interesting to see what Austin does and if our scouting staff have done their job down south :cowboy:
This far into the season, they're only going to bring in guys from the NFL if they are confident they will have a significant impact on the team, it's hard enough getting guys used to the Canadian style game when they've been here since training camp, not to mention getting up to speed on playbooks etc..... Maybe a few ex-CFLers finally give up the NFL dream and come back to the most exciting football league anywhere.......Always interesting to see who migrates south at this time of the year.
“South” - I guess you mean like a Detroit Lions player cut, then driving South into Windsor?
Most people forget that wrinkle, where you can drive South from the US into Canada. In general though I wait to see which cuts migrate North.

I think that for the first time in a long time,the annual air-lift of NFL cuts isn't really needed this year.Looking at our imports on our roster and where we play them positionally,just what would we be looking to upgrade on the team.
QB.....Burris/LeFevour/Masoli/Brohm (I.L.) pretty solid,no need to bring anybody in here.
RB.....Gable/Walker/Moore/Lamar (I.L.) nice depth,getting better every game.
WR.....Grant/Jones/Ellingson/Gant (I.L.) two receivers on pace for 1000+ seasons,already have Jackson on p.roster.
OT.....Simmons/Figuero/Dile Figuero a beast so far,Simmons o.k Dile the weak link here,healthy scratch usually
DE......Norwood/Beadreaux/Marshall/Peach (I.L.) a young group here,getting better every game,Peach injury prone.
DT.....Davis/Moore (I.L.) Davis is a load here,team is using Canadians in other spot,maybe a player in case of injury.
LB.....Johnson/Murray/Lawrence/Isaac/Bussey/Browne/Bowman (I.L.) good depth,solid unit,Bowman yet to play.
DB.....Webb/McCollough/Breaux/Brown/Harris (I.L)/Hobbs(P.R)Davis (P.R.) improving every game,can only get better
I can see the Cats maybe bringing in possibly 3-4 players at most........maybe a O.T. and D.T. for depth purposes,and maybe 1 or 2 more players,just for a look for futures...like training camp prospects for next season.
8) I heard (and it's just a rumour) that the Cats might be interested in former Texas Tech, All American QB, Graham Harrell.
Harrell was just released by Green Bay, where he was Aaron Rodgers back up for the past 3 seasons.
He was in Regina's training camp in 09, and when they released him, he signed with the Packers.
He set records while at Texas Tech that were very impressive to say the least !!To cats99:
NFL final cuts to 53 won't have to be made/done before August 31,2013. August 27,2013 is the date NFL team rosters have to be reduced to 75 players.

Yes, that many players will be cut, but each team will then add practice roster players-as many as 8 per team-,then there are injuries,then there are players at end of line,meaning that roughly 600 players are available.
